Choose the car you want to depict
Be specific about the season before drawing or decorating the model: an F1 car’s body details and branding change over time. Oracle Red Bull Racing identified its 2026 car as the RB22 in its 2026 livery coverage and season-launch recap. Those are the appropriate visual references if your aim is a current Red Bull-inspired craft.
The 2026 livery is described as a heritage-white base with a glossy finish and the team’s sun and bull logo. Red Bull says the gloss nods to the team’s early F1 look and describes a new jacquard pattern. The coverage does not specify paint codes, so treat white, blue and logo placement as visual cues rather than an exact paint formula. Team principal Laurent Mekies said, “This livery is designed to celebrate that spirit that we entered the sport with.” Max Verstappen said, “I like the shine. I like the blue. It’s my favorite color.”
What the cardboard references do—and do not—tell you
A cardboard F1 build is possible, but the documented example is not a small-model plan. The Q’s 2018 video description reports that its creator used approximately 50 square meters of cardboard and more than 100 glue-gun sticks, and describes the build as 1.3:1 scale relative to the original. These are creator-reported details for an unusually large project, not independently verified measurements or material requirements for a tabletop car.

Plan a model without pretending it is a tested template
Start with a reference image of the season you chose and sketch a side view and a top view. Decide the finished length and width yourself before cutting, then keep those proportions consistent across the body, wings and wheel positions. The aim is a recognizable silhouette—not a claim that the cardboard shape reproduces official engineering dimensions.
