That is real growth, but Lucid produced 18,378 vehicles during the year, and its 2026 production target of 25,000–27,000 is not a sales forecast. The challenge is to turn more factory output into completed customer deliveries without building excess inventory or putting added pressure on cash.
What was Lucid’s new delivery record?
Lucid delivered 5,345 vehicles in the fourth quarter of 2025 and 15,841 for the full year. The quarterly total was up 72% year over year; the annual total was up 55%. Lucid called Q4 its eighth consecutive quarter of record deliveries in its February 24, 2026 earnings release.
The quarter also accelerated from Q3: Lucid’s January 5, 2026 production-and-delivery release reported that Q4 production rose 116% from Q3 to 8,412 vehicles, while deliveries rose 31% to 5,345. The year-over-year and quarter-over-quarter comparisons describe different periods, so they should not be read as interchangeable measures of growth.
How much did Lucid produce compared with deliveries?
| Period | Vehicles produced | Vehicles delivered | What the figures show |
|---|---|---|---|
| Full year 2025 | 18,378 | 15,841 | Production exceeded deliveries by 2,537 vehicles for the year. |
| Q4 2025 | 8,412 | 5,345 | Production exceeded deliveries by 3,067 vehicles in the quarter. |
| Q2 2026 | 4,774 | 3,953 | Production exceeded deliveries by 821 vehicles; Lucid said it had intentionally reduced output to lower inventory and free up cash. |
These are production and delivery totals, not a complete inventory roll-forward. They show that output exceeded deliveries in each listed period, but do not by themselves establish how many vehicles remained in inventory at a particular date or how quickly any inventory was sold.
#1 Best Overall
- Efficient, Energy-Saving, and Fast Charging: The TowerTop 12v battery charger offers 4 adjustable current settings (2A/10A/25A/AUTO) to meet your diverse needs. With a max charging current of 25A, you can fully charge a 100Ah battery in under 3.5 hours. Achieving an 85% charging efficiency (industry average 75%), this battery chargers is more efficient, increasing charging speed by 1640% compared to 2A car battery charger. Not only is it energy-efficient, but it also saves you a lot of wait time
- Fully Automatic Charging for Convenience and Safety: This 12 volt battery charger automatically detects battery status and starts charging automatically within 30 seconds if you forget to press Start. After a full charge, it enters pulse repair mode, turns off the screen to save energy, and maintains a safe voltage for long-term storage. If voltage drops, it restores full power. The smart battery charger also remembers your last settings, ensuring seamless operation even after a power outage
- All-in-One Compatible Design: Designed for 12V sealed lead-acid batteries in cars, boats, RVs, power sports, and deep-cycle batteries, including 12V STD, AGM, GEL, Wet, MF, EFB, calcium and deep-cycle batteries
- HD LCD Screen and 8-Stage Intelligent Charging: With true 8-stage smart charging (desulfurization, soft start, bulk charge, absorption, analysis, repair, float, and pulse maintenance), it optimizes battery life and repairs batteries without overcharging or damaging them. The HD LCD screen allows you to view the charging stage and parameters at any time rather than leaving you guessing, keeping you informed of the charging status
- Battery Repair: Independent desulfurization and repair buttons allow you to manually desulfurize and repair your battery to restore lost battery performance, helping to revive old/idle batteries and extend battery life. If your battery cannot be charged, you can try the "repair" mode to fix it. Note: It cannot repair completely drained batteries
Why does Lucid need more buyers if deliveries are rising?
Record growth from a relatively small base does not automatically mean a manufacturer has enough demand to absorb its planned output. Lucid’s 2025 deliveries grew quickly, but the company’s 2026 production guidance is 25,000–27,000 vehicles. That target is about 58%–70% above the 15,841 vehicles delivered in 2025. It is a comparison of planned production with prior-year deliveries, not a promised delivery result.
Lucid has said it will adjust production to sales and delivery needs. That qualification matters: the company can build toward its target only if output is matched by customer purchases and deliveries. Its Q2 2026 decision to reduce production while deliveries continued shows the balancing act between keeping the factory moving, controlling inventory and conserving cash.
How do the Air and Gravity fit into the demand challenge?
Lucid’s product-growth story centers on two different vehicle types: the Air sedan and the Gravity SUV. The Air gives the company a premium sedan offering; Gravity’s SUV format is intended to broaden the range of buyers it can reach. Lucid’s earlier guidance emphasized ramping Gravity production, making the SUV ramp an important part of its effort to support higher output.
The available company figures cited here do not break deliveries out by Air and Gravity. That means the overall delivery record cannot establish how much each model contributed, whether Gravity is broadening demand at the intended pace, or which model accounts for the production-delivery gap.

Is Lucid cutting production because demand is weak?
Lucid said Q2 2026 production was intentionally reduced to lower inventory and free up cash. That supports a narrower conclusion: management was aligning output more cautiously with sales and delivery needs. It does not, on its own, prove that demand has collapsed or identify the cause of the inventory build. The company’s record deliveries and its production reset can both be true: deliveries can grow while output still needs to be adjusted.
What do Lucid’s 2026 finances say about its room to execute?
Lucid reported Q2 2026 revenue of $405 million and liquidity of $3.0 billion. It also identified $1.4 billion in cash-flow-improvement opportunities for 2026. These figures provide context for the production reset, but the opportunities are not the same as cash already saved or generated.
In August 2026, Lucid announced a “Back-to-Basics” transformation focused on Cash & Cost, Customer & Quality, and Culture & Team. The company said financing and operating measures provided liquidity runway well into 2027. That is management’s characterization of its runway, not a guarantee that the production plan will be met or that demand will support it.
What to watch next
- Deliveries relative to production: whether completed customer deliveries keep pace as Lucid increases or adjusts output.
- Inventory direction: whether the gap between vehicles produced and delivered narrows after the Q2 production reduction.
- Gravity’s contribution: whether the SUV ramp expands demand; model-level delivery counts are needed to assess that directly.
- Cash execution: whether the stated cash-flow-improvement opportunities translate into realized improvements and support the company’s stated runway.
Lucid’s 2025 record is evidence of meaningful delivery growth, not proof that its higher 2026 production plan has already found buyers. The central test is whether the company can convert additional output into sustained deliveries while controlling inventory and cash use.
