Lucid reported 2,781 vehicle deliveries in the third quarter of 2024, up 90.9% from a year earlier and the company’s third consecutive quarterly delivery record. The milestone came before the Gravity SUV’s order book opened on November 7, 2024; Gravity production and first customer deliveries followed in December. This is a historical 2024 record, not Lucid’s latest: the company later reported higher quarterly delivery totals.
What Lucid reported for Q3 2024
The quarter ended September 30, 2024. Lucid announced its operating totals on October 7 and its financial results on November 7. The figures describe different measures and should not be treated as interchangeable.

Lucid said approximately 8% of Q3 deliveries were subject to operating lease accounting. Deliveries and production are operating measures, not revenue, and Lucid cautioned that those totals alone should not be relied on as an indicator of quarterly financial results. How the Gravity launch unfolded
Orders opened in November 2024
On November 7, Lucid opened the Gravity order book and said production was on track to start that year. Peter Rawlinson, then Lucid’s CEO and CTO, described it as a “landmark product” in the company’s announcement.

Production and first deliveries followed in December
Lucid later reported that Gravity production had begun at its AMP-1 facility in Arizona and that the first SUVs were delivered to customers in December 2024. Orders opening, production starting and customer deliveries were separate milestones—not one launch date. Lucid said 2024 ended with four consecutive quarters of record deliveries. Lucid subsequently reported 4,078 deliveries in Q3 2025, a 47% year-over-year increase, and 3,953 deliveries in Q2 2026. Those later company-reported figures mean the 2,781 total is not the latest quarterly record. Production and deliveries also diverged in later periods: Q3 2025 had 3,891 produced versus 4,078 delivered; Q1 2026 had 5,500 produced versus 3,093 delivered; and Q2 2026 had 4,774 produced versus 3,953 delivered. Later Gravity updates put the launch in context
Lucid said a second-row seat supplier issue significantly affected Gravity deliveries in February 2026 and disrupted them for 29 days. In its Q2 2026 update, the company described an operational reset. It also said its robotaxi program had begun receiving Gravity production-validation vehicles for testing with Uber and Nuro in the San Francisco Bay Area and Houston.
