Lucid announced that U.S. orders for its Gravity SUV would open on November 7, 2024, starting with the Grand Touring trim. Since then, the company has announced U.S. prices for both trims and launched the SUV in Europe. Lucid’s product page currently advertises Gravity from $79,900, but buyers should confirm the live configurator for the trim, options, market and delivery terms that apply to them.
When could customers order the Lucid Gravity?
Lucid said U.S. orders would open on November 7, 2024, initially for the Gravity Grand Touring. Customers could configure and order directly through Lucid’s website, and existing Lucid owners were to receive priority for delivery. How much does the Lucid Gravity cost?
Lucid’s current U.S. Gravity product page advertises a starting price of $79,900. The company previously announced the Grand Touring from $94,900 and the Touring from $79,900. What is the difference between Gravity Touring and Grand Touring?
The clearest distinction established by Lucid’s U.S. announcements is price and timing: Grand Touring was announced as available to order from $94,900, while Touring was planned from $79,900, with production then scheduled for late 2025. What does Lucid claim about Gravity range and performance?
U.S. Grand Touring
In its April 15, 2025 announcement introducing the 2026 Gravity Grand Touring, Lucid said the trim started at $94,900 and was available to order. The release’s performance and range figures are manufacturer claims tied to that trim and its stated testing context, not independent road-test results. European Grand Touring
For the European Grand Touring, Lucid announced a WLTP range of 712–748 km, output of 617 kW, 0–100 km/h acceleration in 3.6 seconds and a 123 kWh battery. These are company figures for the European trim. WLTP and U.S. EPA range ratings use different test cycles, so the European figure should not be treated as directly comparable with a U.S. EPA estimate. Lucid’s European launch announcement

In its September 8, 2025 European launch announcement, Lucid said Grand Touring orders were open, with customer deliveries expected to begin in early 2026. It described Touring as forthcoming at that time. The prices below are the starting prices announced for those specific markets; they do not establish current stock, delivery estimates or present-day configurator prices.

Can the Lucid Gravity tow?
Lucid says its optional tow package enables towing of up to 6,000 pounds. That is a company-stated maximum for a vehicle equipped with the applicable package; confirm the rating and any configuration-specific limits for the vehicle being ordered. Lucid’s U.S. configuration and ordering announcement
Does the order opening prove Gravity is existential to Lucid?
No. An announcement that orders are open establishes a sales milestone, not that the SUV has resolved Lucid’s financial or business risks. The order announcements and product specifications cited here do not establish order volume, buyer demand, cancellations or the company’s financial position. The word “existential” is therefore a characterization, not a conclusion demonstrated by the ordering news.
For a purchase decision, compare current market-specific pricing and included equipment, range figures measured on the same rating cycle, charging performance and network access, seating and cargo utility, towing rating, and actual delivery availability. The announcements cited here do not provide independent, like-for-like testing or a current inventory comparison.
