Choose the 320+ for the longest stated range
At 308 miles, the rear-wheel-drive EQE 320+ has the highest manufacturer-stated range among these three 2026 Sedans. Its listed 96 kWh battery is larger than the 90.5 kWh battery Mercedes-Benz lists for the 320 4MATIC. That makes the 320+ the clearest fit if maximizing the published range figure is your priority and rear-wheel drive suits your needs.

Choose the 320 4MATIC if you want all-wheel drive
The EQE 320 4MATIC pairs all-wheel drive with 315 hp combined and a listed 267-mile range. Its stated range is 41 miles lower than the 320+, but the difference is not a guarantee of how two individual cars will perform on a particular route. Compare the drive configuration and exact equipment as well as the range figure.
Choose AMG for performance, not maximum range
The AMG EQE Sedan’s listed 220-mile range is below the other two variants, while its 617 hp combined output (with boost listed to 677 hp) and claimed 3.2-second 0–60 mph time emphasize acceleration. Consider it if performance is the priority and its published range suits your driving and charging routine.

How much range will an EQE deliver?
Mercedes-Benz lists 308 miles for the 2026 EQE 320+, 267 miles for the EQE 320 4MATIC, and 220 miles for the AMG EQE Sedan. These are manufacturer figures for those model-year U.S. Sedans, not independently validated real-world measurements or a guarantee for every trip. The relevant figure can differ with model year, Sedan versus SUV, wheel and tire setup, options, battery condition, temperature, speed, and route. Check the specification for the exact vehicle rather than applying a Sedan figure to an EQE SUV or another model year.

How long does EQE charging take?
For the reviewed 2026 EQE Sedan variants, Mercedes-Benz lists AC charging at 9.6 kW through J1772 and maximum DC charging at up to 170 kW through CCS. Its estimates are about 32 minutes for DC charging from 10% to 80%, and approximately 10.75 hours for the 90.5 kWh 4MATIC battery or 11.5 hours for the 96 kWh 320+ battery for AC charging from 0% to 100%. These are manufacturer estimates, not guaranteed session times.
Mercedes-Benz’s owner manual says, “The time it takes to charge the battery depends on the state of health of the battery, the ambient temperature and the charging power of the battery.” It also says charging power depends on supply voltage, current, and the type of power supply. Charger output, battery temperature, and battery condition therefore matter alongside the vehicle’s listed maximums. The cited manual is for the EQE SUV and is used here for the manufacturer’s general charging caveat, not Sedan-specific range figures.

Planning to charge at home
Start by checking that the car’s connector and the EVSE you plan to use are compatible. The 2026 Sedan specifications list J1772 for AC charging. Then have the available electrical circuit assessed before arranging a Level 2 EVSE installation. A connector match alone does not confirm that a particular charger or home circuit is suitable; the cited specifications do not establish third-party charger testing or approval.

1. Check recalls by VIN
Mercedes-Benz campaign notice 24V372, dated June 7, 2024, describes a battery-management-system software update campaign covering certain 2023–2025 EQE and EQS vehicles. It does not mean every EQE from those years is included, or that a particular car has received the remedy. Check the VIN in current recall records and request documentation showing whether the remedy was completed. The notice is hosted by NHTSA.

2. Establish the actual warranty coverage
Mercedes-Benz USA summarizes its standard new-vehicle limited warranty as 48 months or 50,000 miles. That figure does not by itself establish the coverage left on a used car: the in-service date, mileage, applicable market documents, and any separate Certified Pre-Owned coverage matter. Ask a Mercedes-Benz dealer to confirm coverage for the specific vehicle and consult the applicable model-year warranty booklet. Mercedes-Benz provides a service and warranty manual index.
3. Request records and inspect operation
Ask for service and charging records. Check tires and wheels, look for warning messages, and verify that both AC and DC charging work during an inspection where practical. Have a Mercedes-Benz-qualified technician assess the battery and high-voltage system. These checks can help surface concerns, but they cannot substitute for an evaluation of the particular car’s condition.
4. Verify the build and equipment
Options and packages vary, so do not assume a generic trim description tells you what is on the car. Obtain its build information and confirm the driver-assistance features, displays, suspension, rear-axle steering, and charging equipment you care about. Use the VIN and vehicle records to identify the exact configuration.
How to compare EQE listings
When deciding between two EQEs, compare them on the factors that affect your use and ownership rather than choosing by trim name alone:
- Range and battery: Use the specification for the exact model year and body style; account for wheel and tire configuration, options, and battery condition.
- Drive configuration: Decide whether rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive better suits your needs.
- Performance: Compare power and acceleration priorities against the range figure that fits your routine.
- Price and equipment: Check the actual listing and build sheet; listed MSRP and included options do not establish a used car’s price or configuration.
- Charging access: Consider whether compatible home charging and the charging stops available on your regular routes work for you.
- Used-car evidence: Confirm VIN-specific recall status, remaining warranty, service history, charging operation, and inspected condition.
For a 2026 U.S. Sedan buyer, the 320+ is the range-first option in the listed lineup, the 320 4MATIC adds all-wheel drive with a lower stated range, and AMG is the performance-focused alternative. For a used EQE, make the final choice only after verifying the particular vehicle’s records, equipment, and condition.
