Longbow Motorcar Company has announced two British electric sports cars: the open-top Speedster, pitched as the more focused driving choice, and the Roadster, positioned for everyday use and longer trips. The company’s current listed starting prices are £84,995 and £64,995 respectively. Their performance, range and production details remain manufacturer claims and plans—not tested results or delivered-car specifications.
How do the Longbow Speedster and Roadster compare?
Longbow’s product pages describe two versions of its lightweight electric sports-car brief. The Speedster is an open-top, limited-run model. The Roadster is presented as the more practical car for daily driving, all-season comfort and touring, although its roof configuration has not yet been specified in the company FAQ.

Figures and edition details are from Longbow’s current Speedster product page, Roadster product page and FAQ. Prices are starting prices; the FAQ says final pricing depends on configuration. Longbow labels both range figures as estimates under the WLTP test procedure, so they should not be read as independently measured real-world range.
What does each model offer?
Speedster: open-top and limited
Longbow describes the Speedster as its open-top, driving-focused model. The company lists a weight of 895 kg and a 0–62 mph time of 3.5 seconds, alongside an estimated 275-mile WLTP range. It plans to build 150 numbered examples. These are company-stated specifications and plans, not independent testing or confirmation of completed production cars.

Roadster: aimed at everyday use and touring
Longbow positions the Roadster as the more usable option for daily driving and longer journeys. It lists a weight of 995 kg, a 0–62 mph time of 3.6 seconds and an estimated 280-mile WLTP range. The Roadster Autograph is limited to 100 cars, with series production to follow. Despite the practical-use pitch, the FAQ says roof details will be released ahead of delivery; it does not yet establish whether the roof is removable.
How far can I drive and how fast can it charge?
The stated ranges are 275 miles for the Speedster and 280 miles for the Roadster, both estimated WLTP figures on Longbow’s current model pages. WLTP is a standardized test-cycle estimate, not a promise of the distance a particular driver will cover. The company FAQ identifies an 800V system but does not provide a numerical peak charging rate or charge time in the information available there.

At the March 2025 launch, electrive reported that battery capacity and drivetrain power had not been confirmed. That is a dated report of what was unconfirmed at launch; the current FAQ still does not give a charging rate or time.
What does it cost, and how do reservations work?
Longbow currently lists the Speedster from £84,995 and the Roadster from £64,995. The FAQ says the final price depends on configuration, so a starting figure is not a quote for a particular specification.

The company says a reservation secures a place in a limited production run. Deposit amounts have varied by model and edition, so buyers should check the applicable reservation page and terms. Longbow says cancellations within 14 days receive a full refund; after that, refunds are reduced by actual payment-processing costs. It also says it will look to work with finance partners for business contract hire and personal finance. That is an intention, not a currently identified finance offer.
When will my car arrive?
Longbow’s FAQ gives planned production timing rather than confirmed delivery dates: Speedster production is planned for late 2026, with the Roadster due to follow in 2027. The company says the initial launch markets are the UK and Europe and that it intends to make the cars available more widely worldwide. Production and market availability remain plans, not completed deliveries or confirmed schedules for every buyer.

What remains unconfirmed?
- Roadster roof: Longbow says configuration details, including roof information, will be announced ahead of delivery.
- Charging performance: The FAQ mentions an 800V system but gives no numerical peak rate or charge time.
- Battery capacity and drivetrain power: These were reported as unconfirmed at the March 2025 launch; the cited current FAQ does not state those figures.
- Final configuration pricing: Published prices are starting prices, and the company says configuration affects the final amount.
What does Longbow say about ownership and support?
Longbow says the cars are engineered and assembled in the UK. It describes servicing through accredited partners and specialist workshops, with direct factory support. Its “100 Year Accords” are company commitments and aspirations around long-term use, spare-parts availability, right to repair, continuing software updates and periodic refresh programs. They should not be mistaken for evidence that either announced model has demonstrated a century of service life.
At launch, Longbow cofounder and CEO Daniel Davey said: “There is a need for a more driver-oriented, featherweight, electric sportscar – one that is attainable and accessible for those who love driving and the places it takes them.
