Agility is not a single specification, and the available manufacturer information does not support a verified, like-for-like list of ten lightest new motorcycles for 2025. It does show how different lightweight-minded machines are designed for different jobs: a dual-sport for dirt and pavement, roadsters and scramblers with distinct chassis setups, adventure bikes, a cruiser, and even a small scooter. The figures below are manufacturer specifications or positioning—not independent handling-test results.
How to compare agility rather than just weight
Weight matters most when a rider has to balance, park, push, or change direction at low speed, but the number is useful only when its measurement convention is clear. A dry weight excludes some operating fluids; wet or curb weight is closer to a ready-to-ride figure, though the exact definition varies by manufacturer. Do not rank a claimed dry scooter weight against a motorcycle’s curb weight as though they were measured identically.

Seat height is another partial measure: it does not establish how easily a rider can reach the ground, since seat width and shape affect leg reach. Wheelbase, steering geometry, wheel size, suspension travel, and intended surface also influence how a motorcycle feels. A long-travel dual-sport may be an agile tool on a trail without being the easiest machine to maneuver in a city car park.

- Match wheel and suspension setup to the surfaces you actually ride.
- Treat maker descriptions such as “light handling” as positioning unless backed by independent testing.

The official material available for these models does not establish a global set of ten with current local availability and comparable weights. Which type may suit your riding?
For pavement and occasional dirt
The CRF300L is the clearest dual-sport example here: Honda publishes geometry, ground clearance, and a turning radius alongside a labeled weight. Its long-travel, off-road-oriented setup makes it more useful to compare with other dual-sports than with low-seat cruisers or roadsters.
For urban pavement and mixed surfaces
The Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 X illustrate why similar engine-family branding does not mean identical ergonomics or handling priorities. The Speed’s lower published seat height and weight are distinct from the Scrambler’s taller, heavier setup, whose front wheel and suspension are oriented toward loose surfaces. Which feels easier depends on rider reach and where the bike will be used.

For sport-oriented road riding
The Thruxton 400’s launch information describes engine output and sportier chassis intent, but not a weight. It is therefore a candidate to investigate in a specific market, not evidence for a lightweight ranking.
For adventure riding
The KTM announcement’s exhaust-system saving is one component detail. It cannot answer whether the complete 390 Adventure is light relative to its class. Look for a full motorcycle weight using a clearly defined convention before comparing it with dual-sports or roadsters.

For scooter and cruiser use
The Agility 50’s dry weight can inform a comparison among scooters if other models use the same convention. The Eliminator SE’s maker-described handling may interest cruiser shoppers, but the cited material provides no weight figure. Neither is directly ranked against the motorcycles above on the available information.

A “2025” label does not guarantee a bike is currently sold in every country, nor that equipment and specifications are identical across regions. For example, Triumph/Bajaj announced the Thruxton 400’s India launch on August 6, 2025, and said a global rollout was expected later that year. Check the manufacturer’s current country-specific page or dealer listing for actual availability, equipment, and weight before buying or comparing.
