Lexus of Perth’s Melville dealership held its VIP launch on 2 October 2025, bringing together named guests from business, politics and entertainment. 7NEWS reporter Angela Tsun hosted the evening, and singer and actress Kate Ceberano performed. PerthNow published its event report on 7 October 2025.

PerthNow’s 7 October 2025 report covered the launch event, which took place five days earlier. Tsun served as master of ceremonies, while Ceberano provided the evening’s live performance.
Guests named in the report included John Pappas, CEO of Lexus Australia; Basil Zempilas, described in the report as leader of the Western Australian Liberal Party; and former TV personality Jeff Newman. PerthNow’s photo gallery, credited to John Koh/The West Australian, also identifies photographed attendees. Those names are a selection, not a confirmed complete guest list, and the report does not state how many people attended.
Why Lexus opened a second Perth dealership
The launch celebrated Lexus of Perth’s second dealership in the city, complementing its Osborne Park flagship with a site south of the river. The Myaree location opened to customers in September 2025, before the October VIP event. PerthNow’s 4 September opening report said the new site was intended to make the dealership and service experience more convenient for customers in the southern suburbs.

Sam Jeary, who had opened and run Lexus of Tasmania, returned to lead the Myaree site as general manager. In the opening report, she described the move to the southern suburbs simply: “I’m actually loving it.” That is her personal comment, rather than evidence of customer sentiment.

Lexus of Perth lists the dealership at 112 North Lake Road, Myaree. Its official site describes Melville as its second Perth dealership alongside the Osborne Park flagship, and says its range includes hybrid and electric models. PerthNow’s September opening report also recounted an early sale: managing director David Jeary said, “They bought a plug-in hybrid RX.” The report presents this as the first reported purchase after opening, but does not identify the vehicle’s model year or trim. It is one anecdote, not a sales total or evidence of wider demand.
