Lexus announced a U.S. MSRP of $375,000 for the 2012 model in February 2010, excluding delivery, processing and handling; that historical sticker price is not a current valuation. Collector-car sales are individual results: a 10,000-mile 2012 LFA sold for $785,000 on September 5, 2025, while a 748-mile example sold for $1,810,000 on April 29, 2026.
Lexus LFA performance and specifications
The standard U.S.-market LFA pairs a 4.8-liter V10 with a six-speed Automated Sequential Gearbox (ASG). Lexus’s February 2010 U.S. announcement rated the engine at 552 hp at 8,700 rpm and 354 lb-ft of torque at 6,800 rpm. It quoted a 0–60 mph time of 3.6 seconds and a maximum speed of 202 mph. The gearbox uses steering-wheel paddles, has a stated 0.2-second shift time, and offers AUTO, SPORT, NORMAL and WET modes. Lexus’s U.S. announcement is the source for those U.S.-market figures.
Lexus UK’s technical page gives a 4,805 cc engine, a 9,000 rpm maximum engine speed and a 0–62 mph time of 3.7 seconds, with the same 202 mph maximum speed. The 0–60 mph U.S. figure and 0–62 mph UK figure use different endpoints and should not be treated as contradictory or interchangeable. The UK page also lists a rear transaxle, limited-slip differential and 48:52 front-to-rear weight distribution. See Lexus UK’s technical information.
Construction and chassis
Lexus describes the LFA’s body and chassis as carbon-fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP), with aluminum suspension components, carbon-ceramic brake rotors and Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management. The U.S. release also identifies 20-inch BBS forged-aluminum wheels and the car’s triple stacked exhaust outlets.

Standard LFA and Nürburgring Package compared
The Nürburgring Package was a distinct, track-focused configuration rather than a separate production model. Lexus capped it at 50 cars within the planned 500-car LFA total. The figures below retain the units and acceleration endpoints used in the respective manufacturer releases.
| Specification | Standard LFA | Nürburgring Package |
|---|---|---|
| Planned production | 500 cars worldwide total, per Lexus’s U.S. announcement. | At most 50 cars within the 500-car total, per Lexus’s UK release. |
| Engine output | 552 hp at 8,700 rpm in the U.S. release. | 562 bhp in the UK release, an increase of 10 bhp over its stated standard output. |
| Aerodynamics and suspension | Standard road-oriented configuration. | Larger front spoiler, side fins, canard, fixed rear wing, suspension tuning, 10 mm lower ride height, mesh wheels and dedicated high-grip tires. |
| Gearshift and acceleration figures | 0.2-second stated shifts; 0–60 mph in 3.6 seconds (U.S. release). | 0.15-second stated shifts; 0–62 mph in 3.7 seconds (UK release). |
| Maximum speed | 202 mph (U.S. release). | 202 mph (UK release), despite the added aerodynamic drag. |
The unit labels matter: the standard-car announcement reports horsepower (hp) for the U.S. market, while the UK package release reports brake horsepower (bhp). Lexus presented the Nürburgring Package’s added aero, suspension changes and tires as track-oriented upgrades. Lexus UK’s Nürburgring Package release lists the package details.

How much does a Lexus LFA cost?
Original U.S. price when new
Lexus announced a $375,000 U.S. MSRP for the 2012 LFA on February 24, 2010. That amount excluded delivery, processing and handling, and the announcement described a two-year lease with intent to purchase for U.S. customers. It is the original announced price, not a present-day asking price or appraisal. Lexus’s pricing announcement provides the original terms.

These cars differed in mileage and sale circumstances. A figure for one transaction is not a quote for another LFA; condition, mileage, specification and geography all matter, and these two results do not establish a market-wide valuation.
How many Lexus LFAs were made?
Lexus set a worldwide production limit of 500. LFA Works began production at Motomachi on December 15, 2010, building cars at a stated rate of one per day with a hand-picked team. The final car left the facility on December 14, 2012: a white Nürburgring Package LFA. Lexus’s end-of-production release records those dates and details.

Lexus identified Haruhiko Tanahashi as the LFA’s chief engineer. In the end-of-production release, he reflected on the project: “I’ve lived and breathed supercars for the past decade. Specifically one supercar, LFA. Very few people have the opportunity we had to create a world-class supercar from a blank sheet of paper.”
