What the ranking does—and does not—cover
The UXh’s 43-mpg result is specifically for FWD; the comparable AWD figure was not established here. The NX rating also should not be assumed to cover every trim or drivetrain. Because configuration affects the rating, check the exact vehicle’s EPA label or Lexus build details when comparing two listings.

This is a ranking only of the figures shown, not every Lexus hybrid SUV. Lexus also lists the RX 500h and TX 500h among its hybrid vehicles, but comparable current combined MPG figures for them were not established. The available figures likewise do not provide a complete lineup-wide accounting of every trim and drivetrain. Their omission should not be read as evidence that they are less efficient or more efficient than a model shown.

The NX 450h+ and RX 450h+ are plug-in hybrids, so their electric-only driving range cannot be ranked directly against a conventional hybrid’s combined MPG. Lexus lists estimated all-electric driving ranges of 37 miles for the NX 450h+ and 38 miles for the RX 450h+. These are estimates, and actual range depends on charging and driving conditions.

- For a larger SUV comparison: the listed NX 350h figure is 39 mpg combined, while the RX 350h is 36 mpg combined. Confirm the exact trim and drivetrain for the vehicle you are considering.
- For the LX 700h: its 20-mpg combined listing reflects a different size and performance focus; hybrid designation alone does not mean the highest fuel economy in the range.
- For a plug-in: consider whether you will charge regularly and how much of your driving could fit within the stated electric range. Range and MPG answer different questions.
