LEGO’s Technic Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, set 42205, is listed as available to buy now in the U.S., not up for preorder. LEGO’s current U.S. product page lists it at $59.99. The 732-piece, age-9+ model includes steering, a moving 8-cylinder engine and differential, plus doors and a hood that open.
Is LEGO Corvette Stingray 42205 up for preorder?
No. LEGO’s U.S. shop currently lists the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray 42205 as available to buy for $59.99. That is the page’s current listing, not a promise of future stock or price; availability and price can change.
What is included in the 732-piece Technic set?
LEGO lists the model for builders ages 9 and up. Its advertised features are steering, a moving 8-cylinder engine and differential, and opening doors and hood. LEGO describes the engine as moving; its product listing does not establish that the pistons themselves move, so “moving pistons” is more specific than the available description supports.
How big is the finished Corvette?
LEGO lists the completed model at over 3 inches (8 cm) high, 10.5 inches (27 cm) long and 5.5 inches (14 cm) wide. Those dimensions make it a compact model rather than a large-scale display build.

How is set 42205 different from the blue Corvette 42217?
LEGO sells a separate blue Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, set 42217. It is not another name or number for 42205. The official listings identify different set numbers and colors, while both describe 732-piece builds with steering, a moving 8-cylinder engine and differential, and opening doors and hood.
| Set | Color | Pieces | LEGO U.S. listed price | Advertised functions |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 42205 | Not stated in the cited LEGO product listing | 732 | $59.99; current U.S. listing | Steering, moving 8-cylinder engine and differential, opening doors and hood |
| 42217 | Blue | 732 | $59.99; current U.S. listing | Steering, moving 8-cylinder engine and differential, opening doors and hood |
LEGO’s U.S. Summer 2025 retail catalog also listed 42217 at $59.99; that catalog entry is for the blue set, not 42205. LEGO’s product listings do not establish build time, comparative quality or which colorway is the better purchase.
