Which Lexus SUV is the largest?

Which Lexus SUV has the most room for people and cargo?
TX: the family-and-cargo choice
The TX’s 2026 specifications make its three-row layout more useful to compare than exterior length alone. Lexus lists 20.2 cubic feet of cargo space behind the third row, 57.4 cubic feet behind the second row with the third row folded, and 97 cubic feet with both the second and third rows folded. Those are Lexus figures for the 2026 TX; the amount of room available in practice depends on the seating configuration and how cargo is loaded. LX and GX: seat layout depends on grade
Do not assume every LX or GX seats the same number of people. Lexus describes the 2026 LX with seven-seat configurations, a four-seat Ultra Luxury grade and an available two-row layout on Overtrail. The 2026 GX is listed with seating for up to seven. The cited Lexus sources do not provide comparable cargo-volume figures for the LX and GX, so there is no supported three-model ranking by cargo capacity here. How do their powertrains and performance differ?
TX: gas, hybrid or plug-in hybrid
For the 2026 TX, Lexus lists the TX 350’s 2.4-liter turbocharged inline-four at 275 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque. The TX 500h hybrid is rated at 366 total system horsepower and 406 lb-ft; the TX 550h+ plug-in hybrid is rated at 404 total system horsepower. Lexus estimates 33 miles of EV range for the TX 550h+. The range is a manufacturer estimate, not an independent test result. Lexus says the plug-in hybrid’s battery can be charged with the supplied Level 1 cable or a Level 2 connection. LX: flagship power, including a hybrid option
Lexus lists 409 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque for the LX 600 gas powertrain, and 457 horsepower and 583 lb-ft for the LX 700h hybrid. Lexus estimates 20 mpg combined for the LX 700h. GX: a rugged, four-wheel-drive focus
The 2026 GX model page lists a 349-horsepower twin-turbo V6 and full-time 4WD, with Overtrail grades aimed at off-road use. That character helps distinguish the GX, but it does not make it larger than the TX or LX by the cited overall-length figures. Towing capacity is not a measure of passenger or cargo space, and Lexus’s available towing claims should be checked against the exact model and configuration rather than used to rank these SUVs by size. - Choose the LX if you want Lexus’s flagship SUV and value its range of powertrains and grade-dependent luxury or seating configurations. Compare the precise grade: a four-seat Ultra Luxury layout and an available two-row Overtrail layout serve very different needs.
- Choose the GX if full-time 4WD and off-road-oriented Overtrail equipment matter more to you than being the longest SUV or having published three-row cargo figures to compare.
