What is the Lamborghini Temerario’s hybrid powertrain?
Lamborghini describes the Temerario as an HPEV, or High Performance Electrified Vehicle. Its powertrain combines an all-new 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 with three electric motors. The V8 is the combustion engine; the electric motors are part of the broader system whose combined output Lamborghini quotes separately.
That distinction matters when reading the headline numbers: engine-only output and total system output describe different things. Lamborghini’s July 2025 dynamic-launch account reports 920 CV for the combined system, while the V8 alone is rated at 800 CV.
How much power and torque does the Temerario make?

The V8 torque figure is inconsistent across Lamborghini publications. Its July 2025 launch account states 70 Nm from 4,000 to 7,000 rpm, while a February 2025 technical feature gives 730 Nm over that band. Those published figures conflict; the available information does not establish which is correct, so neither should be silently treated as a settled engine specification. How does the Temerario V8 reach 10,000 rpm?
Lamborghini says the production V8 can reach 10,000 rpm. That is the engine’s maximum speed, not the rpm range at which its quoted maximum power is produced: the company lists 800 CV between 9,000 and 9,750 rpm. The 10,000-rpm figure appears in Lamborghini’s July 2025 launch report and 2026 brochure. These are manufacturer statements, not independent instrumented verification.
What performance does Lamborghini claim?
Lamborghini’s February 2025 technical feature gives a 0–100 km/h time of 2.7 seconds and a top speed of 340 km/h. Another Lamborghini publication, a feature about the car being sculpted by speed, states 343 km/h. The company’s 2026 brochure instead says the top speed is over 340 km/h. These are differing official descriptions, not one independently verified top-speed result; retain the specific source’s wording when citing a figure.

What is notable about the Temerario’s chassis?
Lamborghini’s October 2024 spaceframe feature compares the Temerario’s structure with the previous-generation spaceframe. The manufacturer reports 50% fewer structural components, 80% fewer heat welds, and a 25% increase in torsional stiffness. These are Lamborghini-published comparisons, not independent measurements.
The company says the redesigned spaceframe supports integration of the hybrid powertrain. Lamborghini Chief Technical Officer Rouven Mohr described the result this way: “These technologies made it possible to minimize the constructional complexity of the spaceframe, while at the same time enabling a high level of functional integration of the hybrid powertrain.”

What do the Temerario’s efficiency figures mean?
Lamborghini’s 2026 brochure lists WLTP weighted combined figures of 6.4–4.3 kWh/100 km and 11.2–10.3 L/100 km, with weighted combined CO₂ emissions of 272–252 g/km. For the United States, the same brochure lists EPA estimates of 24 MPGe combined and 16 mpg gasoline-only. WLTP and US EPA figures use different test frameworks and should not be compared as if they were the same measurement.
The brochure’s figures are manufacturer-published estimates, not a promise of real-world consumption. Driving conditions and the use of the hybrid system affect actual energy and fuel use. Lamborghini’s 2026 brochure provides the regional figures and test-cycle labels.

What the numbers do—and do not—establish
Lamborghini unveiled the Temerario at Monterey Car Week in August 2024 and held its global dynamic launch at Portugal’s Estoril circuit in July 2025. The launch was a manufacturer-organized event, so its published performance claims and structural comparisons should be understood as the company’s specifications and claims rather than independent comparative test results.
The central engineering proposition is clear: a high-revving twin-turbo V8 works with three electric motors, and Lamborghini quotes 920 CV for the system while rating the engine alone at 800 CV. The 10,000-rpm claim belongs to the V8; top-speed descriptions vary among official publications, and the published engine-torque figures conflict.
