It replaces the standard car’s floating active rear wing with a high-level fixed wing and adds an integrated roof-mounted air intake. Those changes look more extreme, but Lanzante has not published a numerical downforce gain, lap-time improvement, weight change or separate HDK price.
What is the Lanzante 95-59 HDK?
The 95-59 is a bespoke supercar built around a central driving position, with two passenger seats alongside and behind the driver. Lanzante says the layout is intended to work for extended cruising and luggage as well as track use. The High Downforce Kit, or HDK, is an option for the 95-59 rather than a separate model. The company describes it as a high-downforce specification and says it enhances aerodynamic performance, but has not released figures that quantify the effect.
The 95-59 name honours Lanzante’s 1995 Le Mans victory: “95” refers to the year, and “59” to the race number of the winning McLaren F1 GTR. The central-seat layout also deliberately recalls the McLaren F1. Lanzante names automotive designer Paul Howse, formerly associated with McLaren Automotive, as the 95-59’s designer. Lanzante’s 2025 project announcement introduced the car as a celebration of that Le Mans success.
What does the HDK change?
The most conspicuous difference is at the back: the standard 95-59 specification lists a floating active aero wing, while the HDK uses a high-level fixed rear wing. The kit also incorporates a roof-mounted air intake. Lanzante has announced a five-spoke centre-lock wheel design as an option, giving the package an additional race-car visual cue. The company’s 95-59 model page and its 14 August 2026 HDK announcement describe the options.

The visual changes indicate a different aerodynamic configuration, but they do not establish how much downforce it produces or whether it is faster on a circuit. Lanzante has not specified an HDK change to drag, suspension or power either.
What are the 95-59’s engine and weight specifications?
Lanzante lists a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 producing more than 850 bhp and 880 Nm, paired with a seven-speed SSG transmission. The company gives a target weight of 1,250 kg, supported by a carbon-fibre monocoque and full carbon-fibre body. That figure is a manufacturer target, not a verified production-car weigh-in. The published specification does not establish a separate engine output or weight for the HDK.

How many will be built, and when?
Lanzante says production is limited to 59 examples. Goodwood reported in 2026 that all examples were accounted for at the time of its coverage. Lanzante said production was planned to commence at the start of 2027; that is a schedule, not confirmation that production has begun, and the date may change. The company said the HDK and other announced options would be available for later production slots.
How much does the HDK cost?
Lanzante has not announced a separate price for the High Downforce Kit. The company’s original 2025 launch announcement listed the 95-59 project at £1,020,000 plus local taxes. That was the announced project price at launch, not a confirmed current price or the cost of the HDK option. Buyers would need a current quotation from Lanzante for applicable pricing and availability.

Why does the HDK feel more extreme?
The fixed wing sits high above the bodywork, while the roof intake adds another prominent race-inspired feature. Together with the optional centre-lock wheels, those details make the HDK’s track-oriented intent more visible than the standard specification’s active wing. The available figures do not show whether that intent translates into a quantified performance advantage. As Dean Lanzante put it in the company’s launch material, “95-59 is the result of everything I personally and we, as a business, have learned and experienced over three decades since winning Le Mans.”
