What changed in the 2024 Lamborghini logo?
Automobili Lamborghini announced the refreshed identity on 28 March 2024, describing it as an update after more than two decades. The bull and shield remain recognizable; the differences are mostly in the treatment of the emblem and how the identity can be used.

For a side-by-side comparison, look first at the lettering and the flatter finish rather than the bull’s silhouette. The animal’s placement is deliberately familiar, so the update is easier to notice when comparing detail, typography, and color balance.
What does the new Lamborghini logo look like?
The 2024 badge retains the black shield and central bull, but presents them with fewer visual details and without raised elements. The name across the top is set in a new font, and the overall palette is led by black, with gold used sparingly. Lamborghini’s official history describes the result as a “modern, minimalist design.”

The separate bull is a change to the wider identity system, not a replacement for the shield. Lamborghini said it would use the bull on its digital touchpoints independently of the classic emblem. Whether the new mark looks more attractive or more recognizable is a matter of personal taste; the observable differences are the flatter finish, reduced detail, broader lettering, and restrained gold.

- 1963: As the company was founded, Ferruccio Lamborghini commissioned local typographer Paolo Rambaldi to create the emblem. The bull drew on Lamborghini’s zodiac sign and the dialect expression “tamugno come un toro.”
- 1964: The early emblem showed a gold bull on black, with the name in black capitals on a gold field. Lamborghini says this version appeared on the Miura and Countach and was used for nearly 30 years.
- 1990: With the Diablo, the shield grew larger and adopted a blue background, a silver-gray bull, and slightly revised lettering.
- 1998: The shield’s shape was adjusted, the gold bull on black returned, and the wordmark became gold.
- 28 March 2024: Lamborghini announced the latest refresh, saying the identity had been updated after more than two decades.
Why did Lamborghini refresh its logo?
Lamborghini frames the redesign as part of its broader brand strategy and Direzione Cor Tauri transformation, which the company associates with sustainability and decarbonization. It says the identity is meant to express its stated values of “brave,” “unexpected,” and “authentic,” as well as its “Driving Humans Beyond” mission. Those are the company’s stated aims, not independently established effects of the design.

In its 2024 announcement, Lamborghini said the refreshed logo would be used on future cars and that the new identity was already appearing on official company channels. Its logo-history page also says the badge “will soon be featured” on Lamborghinis. Those statements indicate intent, but do not establish a model-by-model installation schedule or confirm which current production models carry the badge.
