The headline-making 230 hours were additional time spent on painting and testing over the normal industrial process—not 230 hours of painting alone, according to Lamborghini.
What makes this Urus SE a one-off?
Lamborghini unveiled the bespoke SUV at a private Miami Beach event on December 4, 2024, during Art Basel Miami Beach. The company called it the first Urus SE delivered globally and said its design drew inspiration from Miami’s colorful culture. What did the 230 hours include?
Lamborghini says the special design required 230 additional hours of painting and testing compared with the normal industrial process. It is a project-specific figure provided by the manufacturer in its December 5, 2024 announcement, not an independently audited measurement. The figure should not be read as the total time needed to paint the vehicle.

How is the paint finish described?
Motor1 reported that the SUV has a four-color painted finish rather than a wrap, naming Blu Glauco as the base color and Nero Noctis and Grigio Telesto among the contrasting colors. Ad Personam is Lamborghini’s vehicle-personalization program. The vehicle also represents the Urus SE’s model context: Lamborghini describes it as the first plug-in hybrid version of its Super SUV, with an 800 CV hybrid powertrain. Those are the manufacturer’s specifications, not independently tested figures.
