Yes: the Lamborghini Temerario Super Trofeo race car drops the road-going Temerario’s hybrid system and uses a twin-turbo V8. Lamborghini’s final-version announcement lists 620 hp at 7,000 rpm and 650 Nm, with the car due to enter the brand’s Asia, Europe, and North America one-make championships in 2027. This is a racing variant—not a change to the hybrid road car, and not the separate Temerario GT3.
What does “drops hybrid” mean for the Super Trofeo?

So “pure V8 power” is a useful shorthand for the Super Trofeo’s engine layout, not a claim that the road model has lost its electric motors.
What are the Super Trofeo’s announced engine specifications?
In its final-version announcement, Lamborghini specifies a twin-turbo V8 producing 620 hp at 7,000 rpm and 650 Nm of torque. Those are manufacturer-published figures, not independent test measurements. Why do two Lamborghini announcements give different power figures?
The figures belong to different announcements and should not be blended. Lamborghini’s earlier World Finals announcement described the Super Trofeo as a rear-wheel-drive, non-hybrid twin-turbo V8 car with a six-speed sequential transmission and cited 650 CV. Its later final-version announcement gives 620 hp at 7,000 rpm. Lamborghini has not publicly explained the discrepancy in the material available here, so it is not possible to say whether it reflects a specification change, rounding, or a unit or translation issue.
The chronology is also useful: Lamborghini first showed the Super Trofeo in static form at the 2025 World Finals at Misano, then presented the final version at the 2026 Super Trofeo Europe round at Imola. How is the Super Trofeo different from the Temerario GT3?
They are separate race cars with different specifications. The Temerario GT3 is not the Super Trofeo with another name: Lamborghini’s GT3 technical article gives the GT3 a 550 hp figure subject to balance of performance and discusses GT3-specific rules.
