Lamborghini’s Temerario GT3 is the new flagship of its customer-racing program, succeeding the Huracán GT3—but not retiring it overnight. The new car made its international debut at the 2026 Sebring 12 Hours, while Lamborghini said the Huracán would remain active in customer racing through 2026.
What is the Lamborghini Temerario GT3?
The Temerario GT3 is Lamborghini’s competition version of the road-going Temerario, built for customer GT3 racing. Lamborghini describes it as its first GT race car designed and developed entirely by the company. The car shares the road model’s basic chassis and production-engine foundation, but both are adapted for racing. Lamborghini’s Temerario GT3 page presents it as a purpose-built race car rather than a road car with only minor track modifications.
How does the Temerario GT3 differ from the road car?
Race-spec V8, without the hybrid component
The GT3 uses a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 and omits the road Temerario’s hybrid component. Lamborghini lists the race engine at 585 CV, or 436.23 kW, with output subject to Balance of Performance (BoP). BoP rules adjust cars to support competition among different manufacturers, so that figure is not a like-for-like comparison with the road car’s combined hybrid-system output.
Chassis and bodywork adapted for race weekends
Lamborghini highlights a built-in roll bar, removable front and rear sections, and bodywork designed to come off quickly during race weekends. Competition-focused aerodynamics and cooling are also part of the conversion. These details address racing needs such as safety, service access and managing heat under sustained track use.

When did the Temerario GT3 make its racing debut?
The car’s international competitive debut came at the 2026 Sebring 12 Hours, the second round of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. Pfaff Motorsports entered it in GTD Pro with Lamborghini factory drivers Andrea Caldarelli, Sandy Mitchell and Franck Perera.
Before that debut, Lamborghini reported more than 15,000 km of development running and a 2,400 km endurance test at Sebring. It later reported that the Temerario GT3 finished tenth in GTD Pro at the 12-hour race. That is an early result, not evidence by itself of how the car will perform across a season. Lamborghini’s Sebring report covers the debut and preparation.

European debut at Paul Ricard
Lamborghini also reported the Temerario GT3’s European debut at the 2026 GT World Challenge Europe opener at Paul Ricard. Grasser Racing Team and Rutronik Racing each fielded a car. The company’s report on the Paul Ricard weekend identifies the teams and event.
Is the Temerario GT3 replacing the Huracán GT3?
Yes, as Lamborghini’s flagship GT3 car; no, not as an immediate end to the Huracán’s racing presence. In its March 2026 announcement, Lamborghini said the Temerario would replace the Huracán GT3 at the top of the program while the older car remained part of its motorsport operation through 2026. That makes the change a generational handover, with both cars present in the transition year.

The Sebring and Paul Ricard appearances establish that Lamborghini has begun deploying the Temerario GT3 in major North American and European competition. Sebring also produced a reported tenth-place finish in GTD Pro. Those milestones show the start of the car’s racing career, but the available figures do not provide independent lap-time comparisons, a performance benchmark against the Huracán GT3, or enough results to judge the new car over a full campaign.

- SCALE & LIVERY: 1/64 alloy diecast race car
- PREMIUM MATERIAL: Solid alloy body with refined plastic parts & decals
- COLLECTOR DETAILS: Faithful cockpit, wheel & aerodynamic shape for display
- DISPLAY READY: Dedicated base included, ideal for shelf & motorsport fans
- ADULT COLLECTIBLE: Premium diecast for adult hobby collectors, display only
The clearest comparison is therefore the program’s direction: Lamborghini has moved its flagship to a new, in-house-developed GT3 car with a non-hybrid race V8, while keeping the Huracán in customer racing through 2026. The Huracán’s decade-long win and title totals supply the predecessor’s record; the Temerario’s debut marks the beginning of its own.
