One important market-specific note: KYMCO says Noodoe connectivity is not available on the 2026 U.S. model.
U.S. launch and availability
KYMCO USA announced the AK 550i Premium’s nationwide U.S. launch on August 1, 2025, saying it was available at select authorized KYMCO dealers. The announcement listed a $11,099 MSRP. KYMCO USA’s launch announcement is the source for that launch timing and dealer availability.
“Nationwide” describes the announced market launch, not a guarantee that every dealer has a scooter in stock. Check with a local authorized dealer for current inventory and a written out-the-door quote.
Price and dealer costs
On October 8, 2026, KYMCO USA’s product page listed the AK 550i Premium at a starting price of $11,099 and a $450 destination charge. The manufacturer says final destination charges are determined by dealers and warns that pricing and specifications may change. Taxes, registration, dealer fees and other local charges may affect the amount a buyer pays. Check the live KYMCO USA product listing and ask a dealer for current, itemized pricing.

What the U.S. model includes
KYMCO’s current U.S. product page describes a liquid-cooled, 550.4 cc, DOHC, four-stroke, eight-valve inline twin. The manufacturer claims 50.9 hp at 7,500 rpm and 38.4 ft-lb of torque at 7,000 rpm. Power is delivered through a CVT automatic transmission with traction control.
Rider aids and touring equipment
- Electronic throttle with full-power and rain modes
- Cornering anti-lock braking (AIBS) and traction control (TCS)
- Electronic cruise control
- Electrically adjustable windshield
- Three-stage heated grips
- Keyless ignition and adjustable backrest
Chassis, dimensions and practical details
KYMCO lists an aluminum frame, inverted front fork, Brembo radial calipers and dual floating front discs. The claimed dry weight is 492 lb; listed fuel capacity is 3.9 gallons, seat height is 30.9 inches and wheelbase is 62.2 inches. Tire sizes are 120/70-R15 at the front and 160/60-R15 at the rear. The page also lists under-seat storage, black and flat brown color options, and a two-year limited factory warranty. These are manufacturer specifications and claims, not independent test findings; KYMCO notes that specifications can change.

Does the 2026 U.S. AK 550i Premium have Noodoe?
No. In a May 21, 2026 notice, KYMCO USA said Noodoe connectivity is not available on the U.S. model 2026 AK 550i Premium. The notice specifies that smartphone pairing, app-based connectivity, navigation integration and connected dashboard functions are unavailable on that U.S. model. Some international versions may differ, so do not assume an overseas feature list applies to a U.S. scooter. See KYMCO USA’s Noodoe clarification.
Fuel economy and maintenance information
New Atlas reported KYMCO’s fuel-economy figure as 51.1 mpg (4.6 L/100 km) in 2025. That is a manufacturer figure reported by a secondary source, not an independently tested result, and it was not found in KYMCO’s original U.S. materials cited here. See New Atlas’s report.

KYMCO USA’s owner’s manual names an NGK CR7E spark plug. Confirm the exact model year and fitment in the applicable manual or with a dealer before buying a replacement. The manual is available from KYMCO USA’s owner’s manuals page.
