What the NAGR label does—and does not—tell you
“NAGR” is the battery designation shown on Komaki’s XR1 listing. The reviewed product information does not explain whether it refers to a particular lithium formulation, another cell type, a pack construction or a marketing label. Without that definition, it would be inaccurate to infer a chemistry-specific lifespan, ideal state-of-charge window or maximum charging rate.
A second Komaki XR1 marketing page repeats the NAGR designation and the 70–80 km range claim. It uses promotional language about regenerative energy and continuing to ride after the primary battery charge is finished, but that wording is not a technical battery-preservation specification. It should not be turned into a claim that regenerative operation extends battery life or that the vehicle has a particular reserve mode.
For chemistry, connector, charger output and permissible charging behavior, use the manual supplied with your scooter and the label on the original charger. If those documents conflict with a web listing, ask Komaki or the authorized dealer to confirm the instruction in writing.
The manufacturer’s broad habits for improving battery life
Komaki’s general battery-life guidance names the XR1 among its models. The following habits come from that broad guidance; the XR1 listing itself does not publish them as a model-specific routine.

Use the original Komaki charger
Charge with the charger supplied for your scooter. A charger that physically fits is not automatically electrically compatible: output voltage, current, connector wiring and charging controls must match the pack and its battery-management system. The general guidance recommends the original charger, while the XR1 materials do not identify a compatible replacement part number. Do not substitute a generic scooter charger or buy a replacement until Komaki or an authorized dealer confirms compatibility for your exact XR1 configuration.
Avoid overcharging
Komaki’s general advice says to avoid overcharging. Follow the XR1 manual for the intended charge-complete indication and what to do when charging finishes. The available XR1 listing does not establish that the scooter should be left connected indefinitely, nor does it give a model-specific overnight rule. If your manual is missing, request the official procedure rather than guessing from another Komaki model.
Avoid deep discharge
The same general article advises avoiding deep discharge. In practical terms, do not make a habit of riding until the vehicle cuts out or the battery is completely depleted. Plan a return or charging stop with reserve, especially when weather, hills, a heavy load or high speed is likely to reduce range. Komaki has not published an XR1-specific minimum percentage, so no exact cutoff should be presented as a factory requirement.

Apply power progressively, hold a steady speed where traffic permits, and anticipate stops instead of making frequent abrupt speed changes. These habits can help preserve usable range on a trip, but Komaki has not published an XR1 laboratory result that converts a riding style into a particular number of extra kilometres.

Store the scooter in a cool, dry place
Komaki’s general advice recommends a cool, dry storage location. Keep the vehicle away from persistent damp, standing water, direct heat and unnecessary exposure to severe weather. Storage advice is not a substitute for the manual’s instructions about charge level, isolation or long-term parking. If you will not ride for an extended period, ask Komaki for the XR1-specific preparation and check interval.
How to charge an XR1 without guessing
The listed three-to-four-hour charging time is a useful planning estimate, but it does not tell you exactly when to plug in, how long to leave the scooter connected or which indicator means charging is complete. Use this process to keep the model-specific decisions in the right place:
- Read the supplied documents first. Locate the XR1 owner’s manual, charger label, invoice and warranty card. Look for the approved charger rating, indicator meanings, charging sequence, storage instructions and warnings.
- Verify the charger. Confirm that the charger is the one supplied with the scooter or has been expressly approved for your XR1 by Komaki. Do not rely only on a matching plug.
- Choose a suitable location. Charge in the cool, dry environment recommended by Komaki’s general guidance, away from water and heat. Keep the charger and cable free of visible damage.
- Follow the manual’s connection sequence. The reviewed XR1 pages do not state whether this model requires a particular order, so use the sequence in your own manual rather than borrowing one from another vehicle.
- Use the stated completion indication. The three-to-four-hour figure is not a command to keep charging for a fixed time if the manual’s indicator says the cycle is complete sooner. Conversely, an unusually long charge deserves investigation rather than repeated timed charging.
- Stop and seek support for abnormalities. Unusual heat, smell, swelling, damaged insulation, repeated charger faults or a sudden range collapse are reasons to stop charging and contact Komaki or an authorized dealer.
Komaki’s home-charging article, dated June 8, 2024, discusses a “20–80” approach for Komaki bikes generally. That article does not establish that the XR1 requires or supports that exact window. Treat it as general advice only if Komaki confirms it for your scooter; do not override the XR1 manual with a percentage rule copied from a general web article.
Why a full charge may not deliver 70–80 km
Komaki explicitly qualifies its range claim: “The range figures mentioned are based on ideal testing conditions. Actual range may vary depending on rider weight, speed, road conditions, and weather.” The statement appears on the product page and is the correct context for evaluating your own results.

A single short trip is not a battery-health test. To spot a meaningful change, record starting charge, route, load, speed pattern, weather and distance over several comparable rides. If the decline is abrupt or accompanied by warnings, have the scooter inspected rather than trying to correct it with an unverified charging threshold.
Storage, infrequent use and seasonal parking
For ordinary parking between rides, keep the XR1 in the cool, dry place recommended by Komaki and avoid routinely leaving the pack deeply discharged. For storage lasting weeks or months, the available XR1 information does not state a target charge percentage or a required recharging interval. Those details can depend on the battery-management system and the exact pack fitted to your vehicle.
Before a long lay-up, obtain the XR1 manual or written instructions from Komaki. Ask specifically whether the scooter should remain connected, whether the battery should be isolated, how often its charge should be checked and what conditions require service. Do not invent a schedule from the “20–80” article or from advice for a different battery chemistry.

Warranty terms: two official statements that do not match
Komaki’s XR1 product listing states one year on the motor, battery and controller. Separately, Komaki’s general Refund & Returns policy states that lithium e-scooty and e-bike batteries receive 36 months—24 months warranty plus 12 months service warranty—or 30,000 km, whichever comes first. The policy also lists exclusions involving fire, water exposure and misuse, and says a claim requires the invoice plus chassis and component serial numbers.

The published pages do not reconcile the discrepancy. Check the warranty card and invoice issued with your scooter, then ask Komaki or the authorized dealer which term applies to your vehicle identification number and purchase date. Keep the invoice, chassis number, component serial numbers, service records and photographs of any fault. The policy page lists [email protected] and +91 99536 67830 as support contacts; verify that those details are current before using them.
When a range problem needs diagnosis
Normal variation is expected because Komaki’s claim assumes ideal conditions. Arrange a diagnostic inspection when the pattern is persistent or accompanied by a safety symptom.
- The displayed charge falls unusually quickly on comparable routes and weather.
- The scooter shuts down, refuses to charge or repeatedly reports a charger or battery fault.
- The battery, charger or cable becomes abnormally hot, smells unusual, swells or shows physical damage.
- The charger’s completion indication never appears within a reasonable period, or charging time changes dramatically without an obvious temperature or usage explanation.
- Water exposure, a crash, fire damage or suspected misuse may affect the pack or warranty.
Stop using a damaged or overheating pack and contact Komaki or an authorized service point. Do not open the battery, bypass its protection electronics or attempt a cell-level repair yourself.

The Ministry of Heavy Industries describes testing of EV prototypes and components for protections such as over-charge and over-discharge, over-current and short-circuit protection, over-temperature protection, voltage cut-off and battery-management-system requirements under applicable notified standards. This is standards and component-testing context, not a daily charging schedule for the XR1. It does not prove a particular feature, threshold or owner procedure for your individual scooter.
Owner checklist
- Keep the original charger and confirm its rating against the XR1 manual.
- Do not routinely overcharge or run the battery to complete depletion.
- Use smooth acceleration and realistic speeds when range matters.
- Store the scooter in a cool, dry place.
- Track range with route, load, speed and weather noted before concluding that the battery has degraded.
- Keep the manual, invoice, warranty card, chassis number and component serial numbers together.
- Confirm any long-term storage percentage or inspection interval with Komaki.
- Resolve the one-year-versus-36-month warranty difference in writing before making a claim.
The key limitation is documentation: the reviewed material does not define NAGR chemistry, provide an XR1 owner manual with a charging schedule or settle which warranty term governs every XR1 sale.
