Koenigsegg One:1: Specs, Performance, Production and Price Context

Built in seven examples from 2014 to 2015, the Koenigsegg One:1 paired a one-megawatt flex-fuel V8 with a claimed one-horsepower-per-kilogram ratio. Its current market value is not established by the available sources.

The Koenigsegg One:1 was a seven-example hypercar built between 2014 and 2015. Its name refers to Koenigsegg’s claimed one horsepower per kilogram of curb weight, while the company also calls it its first production megacar because its engine produces one megawatt. The manufacturer’s current model page does not give a current price, and a reported 273-mph top-speed figure should not be mistaken for an independently verified record.

What is the Koenigsegg One:1?

The One:1 is a limited-production Koenigsegg hypercar based on the Agera R. Koenigsegg describes it as its first production “megacar,” a reference to its one-megawatt output. The “One:1” name points to the company’s claimed one-horsepower-per-kilogram curb-weight relationship; it is a branding description of that ratio, not a separate unit of power. Koenigsegg’s model overview lists seven examples built between 2014 and 2015.

The Petersen Automotive Museum highlights the car’s adaptive aerodynamic equipment, including a Le Mans-inspired wing and a roof cooling scoop. These features help distinguish the One:1’s track-oriented design from a simple power upgrade to the Agera R. The museum’s overview describes the Agera R connection and aerodynamic details.

Koenigsegg One:1 specifications

Koenigsegg’s published technical specifications identify a flex-fuel V8 and a specially developed dual-clutch transmission. The key figures and components are:

Power One megawatt at 7,500 rpm
Rev limiter 8,250 rpm

These are the manufacturer’s published specifications, not independently measured figures. Koenigsegg’s technical specification page gives the engine, output, limiter, transmission and chassis details.

How fast is the One:1?

Car and Driver’s January 2015 first drive reported a 273-mph top-speed figure and 1,345 pounds of downforce at 160 mph. Those are figures reported in that review, not proof here of a verified, independently recorded top-speed run or record. The distinction matters when comparing hypercars: a quoted maximum, a manufacturer claim and a documented speed achieved under specified conditions are not interchangeable. Car and Driver’s first drive also noted poor traction in wet conditions, an important qualification for a car with this level of performance.

How much does a Koenigsegg One:1 cost?

A current asking price or market value is not established by the available manufacturer information. A December 2014 El País report said the price had not been communicated at that time and anticipated that it would exceed €1 million. That was a launch-era expectation, not a confirmed transaction price or a present-day valuation. El País’s 2014 report provides that historical context.

For a car this rare, a meaningful present-day value would need to be tied to a dated listing or completed sale identifying the specific car. Without that evidence, assigning a single current price would be speculation.

How many Koenigsegg One:1s were made?

Koenigsegg’s model overview says seven examples were built between 2014 and 2015. It does not specify in that overview how many were customer cars versus prototypes, so the seven-example total should not be split into those categories without a more specific source.
