Markus Lundh drove the Koenigsegg Sadair’s Spear up Goodwood’s Hill in 47.14 seconds at the 2025 Festival of Speed, taking the production road car record from the Czinger 21C by 1.68 seconds. It was a production-car record—not the fastest run in the event or the outright Hillclimb record.
How the Koenigsegg beat the Czinger record
Goodwood reported Lundh’s 47.14-second run in the Sadair’s Spear during the 2025 Timed Shoot-Out. The previous production car benchmark was 48.82 seconds, set by Chris Ward in a Czinger 21C at the 2024 Festival of Speed. The Koenigsegg’s time was 1.68 seconds quicker, calculated from those two published times. Goodwood describes the Hill as a 1.16-mile course. Goodwood’s 2025 Sadair’s Spear report and its 2024 Czinger coverage document the respective runs.
Which Goodwood record did it set?
The Sadair’s Spear set the production road car mark. That category is separate from both the Timed Shoot-Out’s overall result and the outright Hillclimb record.
| Category or result | Car and driver | Time | Meaning |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2025 production road car record | Koenigsegg Sadair’s Spear, Markus Lundh | 47.14 seconds | New production road car benchmark, reported by Goodwood in 2025. |
| Previous production car record | Czinger 21C, Chris Ward | 48.82 seconds | 2024 benchmark beaten by the Koenigsegg, according to Goodwood’s 2024 report. |
| 2025 Timed Shoot-Out winner | Ford Supertruck, Romain Dumas | 43.49 seconds | Fastest overall in the 2025 Shoot-Out results; the Sadair’s Spear placed third. See Goodwood’s results table. |
| Outright Hillclimb record | McMurtry Spéirling, Max Chilton | 39.08 seconds | Goodwood’s Hillclimb page lists this 2022 run as the outright record: The Hillclimb at the Festival of Speed. |
Why the overall result is different
The Timed Shoot-Out ranks all competing cars together, while the production-car record compares qualifying road cars within their category. In 2025, the Ford Supertruck won overall in 43.49 seconds, with the Subaru Project Midnight second in 45.46 seconds and the Sadair’s Spear third at 47.14 seconds. A category record can therefore be set without winning the overall Shoot-Out.

The car was Koenigsegg’s Sadair’s Spear, not the Jesko Absolut. Goodwood reported the Sadair’s Spear at 1,625PS (1,195kW) in its 2025 record coverage. The company’s Jesko Absolut page describes a different Koenigsegg model; its specifications should not be attributed to the Goodwood record car.

Goodwood’s coverage says the Sadair’s Spear was 4.05 seconds faster than the next production road car in the 2025 Shoot-Out, the Ford Mustang GTD. The figures describe Goodwood’s event runs and reported categories; they do not make the Sadair’s Spear the fastest car ever up the Hill.
