The KLEOX Festival is a compact, hard-sided sleeping pod for camping, festivals and outdoor events—not a self-contained travel trailer with a kitchen and bathroom. KLEOX lists its empty weight at about 220 kg (485 lb), which explains the “500-lb” description; its maximum permissible gross weight is a separate 750 kg (about 1,653 lb). Neither figure alone tells you whether your car can legally and safely tow a particular configured trailer.
What the KLEOX Festival is—and what it is not
KLEOX positions the Festival as a simple place to sleep at campsites, festivals and outdoor events. It has a fiberglass-reinforced hard shell and a cabin for sleeping or carrying compact gear. It is not presented as a self-contained travel trailer with built-in kitchen and bathroom facilities. What “500 lb” means: empty weight versus loaded limit
KLEOX lists an approximate empty weight of 220 kg, or about 485 lb. That is the likely basis for calling it a “500-lb” teardrop. It is an approximate empty-weight figure, not the trailer’s maximum loaded weight.

The listed maximum permissible gross weight is 750 kg (about 1,653 lb). That is the upper permitted total for the trailer when loaded; it does not establish how much payload a particular example has, since the final configured trailer’s actual weight matters. Can your car tow it?
The 750 kg gross-weight rating is a trailer limit, not proof that any given car can tow the Festival. Towing legality and suitability depend on the specific vehicle, its documents and the final trailer configuration. Before buying or towing, confirm the vehicle’s permitted braked or unbraked trailer weight as applicable, any gross train weight limits, and the relevant registration and licensing requirements in your jurisdiction. Then compare those limits with the trailer’s final paperwork and loaded condition.

- Check the vehicle handbook and registration documents for the applicable towing and combination limits.
- Ask the seller for the configured trailer’s documented weight and permitted gross weight.
- Account for people, bedding, accessories and cargo; keep the loaded trailer within its rating and the car’s limits.
Will the cabin fit you and your gear?
The Festival’s external dimensions are 320 × 180 × 160 cm. Inside, KLEOX lists a cabin floor of 210 × 126 cm and an internal height of up to about 115 cm. The internal height is a maximum figure from the configurator, not standing room: this is a low sleeping cabin. Measure the space you need for your body, bedding and any gear you plan to keep inside.
KLEOX lists an optional folding mattress measuring 200 × 120 × 10 cm. It is smaller than the listed floor in both length and width, leaving little spare width around it; check the layout and your preferred sleeping setup before ordering. Festival or Shelter: choose by access and cargo use
The KLEOX Festival and Shelter are related compact models, but their principal distinction is how you get in and load them. The Festival has a side-entry door. KLEOX describes the Shelter’s large rear hatch as convenient for entry and loading. Manufacturer-listed options include the folding mattress, ventilation underlay, side awning, roof rack, drawbar box, kitchen box and bicycle carrier. Check the current configurator for availability, price and whether an option suits your intended layout; listed accessories should not be assumed compatible with every configuration.
