The Kingbull Ranger pairs a moped-inspired look and long bench seat with a manufacturer-claimed range of up to 80 miles in pedal-assist mode. Its 864Wh removable battery is a notable spec, but the 88 lb weight and fixed-height seat are equally important to the buying decision. It looks best suited to cruising and commuting; the available information does not establish independently tested off-road performance.
What the Kingbull Ranger offers
The Ranger is a 20-inch, fat-tire electric bike built around a long saddle, twist throttle and retro styling. Kingbull’s current listing specifies a 750W brushless hub motor, 1300W peak power and 85Nm of torque, with a 48V, 18Ah (864Wh) removable lithium battery. The display supports five pedal-assist levels and a 3 mph walk mode; the listing also specifies cadence and brake sensors and a 48V/22A controller. Kingbull’s current Ranger listing is the source for these specifications.
There is a meaningful discrepancy in the published motor figures. The February 24, 2026 Endurance Sportswire launch announcement gave the motor a 1500W peak and 80Nm of torque, and put the bike’s weight at 86 lb. The current manufacturer listing instead gives 1300W peak, 85Nm and 88 lb. The sources do not explain whether the differences reflect an update or a configuration change, so the current listing is the better guide to the bike being sold now; the earlier figures should not be blended with it.
How far can the Ranger go on a charge?
Kingbull advertises “up to 80 miles” in pedal-assist mode under ideal conditions. That is a manufacturer maximum, not a guaranteed everyday distance: the company says terrain, rider weight and riding conditions affect range. The listing specifies a removable 864Wh battery but does not provide a reproducible test protocol for the 80-mile figure. Treat it as a best-case claim rather than a route-planning promise.
#1 Best Overall
- 1300W PEAK POWER & 85Nm TORQUE – Get strong acceleration and confident hill-climbing power with up to 1300W peak output and 85Nm of torque. Reach speeds up to 28 MPH for faster commuting, cruising, and weekend rides.
- 48V 18Ah 864Wh REMOVABLE BATTERY – Ride farther with a high-capacity 864Wh battery delivering up to 80 miles of range. The removable design makes charging convenient at home or work. Actual range varies by terrain, rider weight, temperature, and assist level.
- FULL SUSPENSION & 20" x 4.0" FAT TIRES – Front suspension and dual rear shocks help absorb bumps and rough surfaces, while wide fat tires add grip and stability on pavement, gravel, dirt roads, and changing terrain.
- DUAL-PISTON HYDRAULIC DISC BRAKES – Front and rear hydraulic brakes provide smooth, responsive stopping control. Pair them with the Shimano 7-speed drivetrain for better control on hills, city streets, and mixed terrain.
- VINTAGE MOPED STYLE WITH 3 RIDING MODES – Choose Pedal, Pedal Assist, or Throttle mode and adjust between 5 assist levels. The extended saddle, digital display, and relaxed riding position make Ranger practical for daily rides and longer adventures.
A June 20, 2026 third-party review estimated 35–55 miles in mixed riding. The reviewer does not provide a reproducible protocol in the reviewed material, so that estimate is an attributed opinion, not a verified test result. The review also differs from the current manufacturer listing on some specifications; use Kingbull’s current page for the listed product details. The review is useful for its cruising-oriented perspective, not as a controlled range comparison.
Is the Ranger comfortable and practical to ride?
The long bench-style saddle and 20 × 4.0-inch tires suit the Ranger’s relaxed, moped-like character. Kingbull specifies a dual-crown hydraulic-spring front fork with 80mm of travel, hydraulic brakes, an integrated headlight, a tail/brake light and turn indicators. The listing gives a recommended everyday tire pressure of 25–28 PSI. Its IPX6 water-resistance rating is not a claim that the bike can be submerged.
The available third-party review describes the Ranger as a cruiser and says it is not intended for singletrack. Kingbull markets it as off-road capable, but the sources do not establish independent off-road testing. Consider the style and equipment evidence of a road-and-cruising focus, not proof that the bike is suited to technical trails.

Will the size and fixed seat fit you?
Kingbull lists a recommended rider height of 5 ft to 6 ft 3 in, but the saddle is fixed and cannot be raised or lowered. The listed seat height is 33.5 inches; total dimensions are 68.1 inches long, 44.1 inches high and 29.1 inches across the handlebars. Because the seat does not adjust, riders near either end of the recommended height range should check whether that fixed position works for their reach and riding posture before buying.
At 88 lb, the Ranger is heavy to lift, carry up stairs or load into a vehicle. Kingbull lists a maximum payload of 350 lb. It also gives a 150 lb rear-rack limit, although its FAQ describes the bike as designed without a bulky rear rack and mentions a compact under-seat saddle bag. Confirm the bike’s current rack configuration before relying on that cargo limit.

Kingbull says the bike arrives 85% assembled and requires basic assembly. The listed box contents include the Ranger, manual, tool kit, charger, pump, bike lock and footrest pegs. For puncture preparation, the manufacturer specifies 20 × 4.0-inch tires and 20 × 4.0-inch Schrader inner tubes; verify the tire size and valve on the delivered bike before buying a spare.
What should you know about the safety claim?
Kingbull says the battery system is “tested through UL by SGS,” but its product page does not name a standard or certificate number. That wording does not establish that the complete bike is UL 2849 certified. If a particular certification is important to your purchase, ask the seller for the specific standard and documentation.
Is the Kingbull Ranger worth considering?
The Ranger makes the clearest case for riders who want a retro, bench-seat e-bike with a large removable battery and are comfortable with a heavy, fixed-seat design. Its advertised 80-mile maximum is conditional, and the current specs conflict with the earlier launch announcement on weight, peak power and torque. For buyers prioritizing portability, a customizable fit or documented trail performance, the listed specifications and available review evidence leave important questions unresolved.
