What is the Kimberley Kube?
The Kube is a compact off-road teardrop camper made by Australian manufacturer Kimberley Kampers. The manufacturer describes sleeping capacity as two or more and highlights a king-size bed, panoramic windows and a slide-out stainless-steel kitchen. Its current listing also describes lithium power with solar, diesel hot water and heating, and off-road suspension. Confirm which equipment is included on the configuration being quoted.

Options and configuration affect what you get. The 2025 guide lists options including an awning, shower/toilet cubicle, heater and air conditioning; request the current option list and build specification rather than assuming these are standard.
What are the Kube’s dimensions and towing weights?
Kimberley Kampers lists on-road dimensions of 5,200 × 1,800 × 2,100 mm (17 ft 6 in × 6 ft 7 in × 6 ft 9 in), tare from 1,110 kg, ATM/GVWR of 1,950 kg and drawbar/tongue weight of 140–180 kg. Before buying, compare the specific trailer’s plated and quoted weights with the tow vehicle’s limits and the limits of its towbar, hitch and rear axle. Include occupants, luggage, water, battery, accessories and other payload when working out the loaded combination. The correct match depends on the individual vehicle and selected Kube build, so have the dealer confirm the loaded figures and consult the vehicle manufacturer’s towing guidance.
Is it ready for Outback travel?
The manufacturer markets the Kube as an off-road camper and lists off-road suspension. That alone does not establish suitability for every unsealed road, remote track or towing setup. Route conditions, weather, load, tyre choice, recovery equipment, driver experience and local restrictions all matter; check them for the particular trip rather than treating the “Outback-ready” description as a route approval.

The manufacturer describes a king-size bed and panoramic windows. This combination prioritizes a broad view from the sleeping area; check how the windows open, shade and secure, and whether the layout suits your privacy and ventilation preferences.
Slide-out kitchen
The listed stainless-steel kitchen slides out for use outside the sleeping cabin. At the 2024 launch, New Atlas reported an 85-L fridge/freezer, dual-burner stove and sink, along with a 120-L fresh-water tank and optional 70-L secondary tank. Those are launch-era reported specifications, not confirmation that each item or capacity is standard on every current build. Power and climate equipment
Kimberley Kampers currently describes lithium power with solar, diesel hot water and heating. The 2024 launch report specified a 200-Ah lithium battery, but that is historical launch coverage; verify current battery capacity, solar equipment and included heating and hot-water systems in the quoted configuration.
