Kia India reported 32,017 wholesale units in September 2026, its highest-ever monthly volume since entering the Indian market. The company said the Seltos and Sonet were key contributors and cited a positive response to the Sorento, but it did not disclose September sales totals by model.
How Kia India’s September sales compare
The 32,017-unit result was higher both than a year earlier and than the preceding month. These are wholesale-volume comparisons, not retail registrations or customer deliveries.

The year-on-year figure compares September with the same month the prior year; the month-on-month figure compares it with August. They describe different periods and should not be treated as interchangeable measures of trend.
Quarterly and year-to-date volumes also increased
Kia India recorded 89,259 wholesale units in July–September 2026, up 38.5% from 64,443 in the third quarter of 2025. For January–September, the company reported 253,008 units, compared with 206,582 in the same period of 2025, a rise of 22.5%. These company totals put September’s record month within a wider period of growth.

Which Kia models did the company credit?
Kia named the Seltos and Sonet as key contributors to its growth. Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing Atul Sood also said the Sorento and Syros EV had received a strong response, describing the response to Sorento and rising demand for Syros EV as support for Kia’s expansion into new segments and powertrain categories.
Those comments are qualitative. The September figures reported by ETAuto and Autocar India do not provide a model-wise breakdown, so they do not establish individual September unit totals or a precise sales ranking for Seltos, Sonet, Sorento or Syros EV.

India’s result is separate from Kia’s global sales
Kia Corporation separately reported 281,984 global sales in September 2026, up 5.1% year on year. That is a worldwide figure, not an India total; Kia Corporation described its monthly global figures as preliminary and unaudited.
