They suit different priorities: the EV3 is a compact SUV, while the IONIQ 5, Enyaq and Scenic offer alternatives for shoppers who want to assess a different size or family-use proposition. Treat the prices and figures below as starting points for a like-for-like check, not proof that one is the universal best buy.
What does the EV3 GT cost, and what should you verify?
EV Database lists the Kia EV3 GT MY27 (2026) at £47,855 RRP and £48,695 on the road, putting that third-party UK listing close to a £50,000 budget. Check whether a quoted figure is the list price or an on-the-road price, and whether it includes a grant, optional equipment or a time-limited finance offer. Compare the same model year, trim and options across cars; otherwise a headline price can conceal meaningful differences in equipment or eligibility.

How to decide which one suits you
Price and equipment
Compare full on-the-road quotes for the exact trims you would buy. Then list the equipment included as standard—especially driver-assistance, comfort and charging features—and price any options you need. Manufacturer starting prices are useful for finding candidates, but they do not establish the cost of a similarly equipped car.

Size and everyday practicality
Kia describes the EV3 as a compact five-seat SUV and publishes a 460-litre boot plus a 25-litre front compartment. Those figures give you a reference point, but boot capacity alone does not tell you whether a car fits your family: check rear-seat space, access, child-seat fit and the shape of the load area in person. If your priority is a compact footprint, put the EV3 and Elroq high on the test-drive list. If you regularly carry passengers or bulky luggage, compare the IONIQ 5, Enyaq and Scenic in person as well. No same-method dimensions or boot-volume comparison across these models has been published here, so avoid ranking them by unsupported capacity claims.

Range and efficiency
Kia UK quotes 270 miles WLTP for the EV3’s 58.3 kWh standard-range version and up to 375 miles WLTP for the 81.4 kWh long-range, front-wheel-drive version. These are configuration-specific manufacturer figures; the 375-mile figure should not be assigned to the EV3 GT unless Kia’s GT-specific UK specification confirms it. For every alternative, compare the official range for the precise battery, drivetrain and wheel configuration you are considering. If you rely on motorway journeys, look for independent road tests conducted in conditions like yours rather than treating one WLTP number as a prediction of your personal range.

Charging and home setup
Kia’s published EV3 figures give a 10–80% DC charging time of 29 minutes for the 58.3 kWh battery at 101 kW, and 31 minutes for the 81.4 kWh battery at 128 kW. These are manufacturer specification values; actual charging sessions depend on the charger and conditions. Kia says the EV3 supports home charging using a wall box. Before choosing a home charger, confirm connector and vehicle compatibility and arrange the required electrical installation; the vehicle page does not establish that a particular charger is suitable for every property.

Performance, traction and ownership
If the GT’s performance treatment is a main reason for choosing it, compare power, acceleration and drivetrain—not just price or range. Check whether each shortlisted trim is front-wheel drive, rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, and whether the equipment you value is standard or optional. The manufacturer pages and price evidence cited here do not establish a complete, trim-matched performance or warranty comparison, so confirm those details in the current model specifications and written retailer terms.

- Set your must-haves. Decide how much rear-seat and boot space you need, your usual journey length, whether home charging is possible, and whether performance or all-weather traction is a priority.
- Choose matching trims. Select the battery, drivetrain and equipment level for each candidate that meets those needs.
- Get same-date UK quotes. Ask Kia, Hyundai, Škoda and Renault retailers for on-the-road prices for the exact model year and trim. Separate list prices, grants, optional extras and finance conditions.
- Check the details against official pages. Verify range, charging figures, included equipment and ownership terms for the configuration quoted, rather than relying on a model-family headline.
- Test the practical fit. Take the people, child seats or luggage you normally carry and check the cabin and boot. If charging at home, have the property and installation assessed separately.
How strong is the evidence for a price ranking?
The EV3 GT listing and IONIQ 5 starting price provide useful UK reference points, but the available figures are not a same-date, same-trim comparison. The Enyaq examples are from a Škoda list effective 27 October 2025, while Elroq and Scenic pricing can depend on configuration and grant treatment. Prices, offers, grant eligibility, specifications, stock and delivery estimates can change; obtain current retailer quotes before deciding which is the best value.
