How much is the KGM Torres EVX after the £1,500 Electric Car Grant?
Auto Express reported a grant-adjusted starting price of £35,495 on 5 October 2026. That figure reflects a £1,500 Band 2 grant against the reported new-car starting price. It is a reported starting price, not a guarantee that every trim, dealer quote or order will qualify at that amount.
Does every Torres EVX qualify?
No. Department for Transport and Office for Zero Emission Vehicles guidance says the Electric Car Grant is available only for approved vehicles. The guidance, updated 1 April 2026, sets out two grant bands—£1,500 and £3,750—and a £37,000 recommended retail price cap. Eligible cars must be registered in England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland; Crown dependencies are excluded. See the government’s Electric Car Grant guidance for the scheme terms.
The £37,000 test is based on the scheme’s definition of recommended retail price, which includes VAT, mandatory manufacturer or dealer extras, delivery and administration charges, the battery cost, and certain fitted options that affect battery capacity or drivetrain. The Torres EVX’s reported grant eligibility comes from Auto Express; the model-specific official listing was not independently established here. Before committing, confirm that the exact variant and registration meet the current rules with KGM or the official eligible-vehicle list.

How does the Torres EVX compare with the Skoda Enyaq?
In its 5 October 2026 report, Auto Express put the cheapest grant-adjusted Skoda Enyaq at £38,470—£2,975 above the reported Torres EVX starting price. It also said the Torres EVX has 19 miles more quoted range than an entry-level Enyaq 60, while the KGM has a slower rapid-charging rate. The report did not provide a charging-rate figure, so a direct numerical comparison is not available. Prices, eligible trims and specifications can change.
For a purchase decision, compare the exact on-the-road price and grant eligibility alongside the range figure, rapid-charging capability, warranty and equipment. Auto Express describes the Torres EVX range as up to 287 miles; that is a quoted maximum, not a promise of real-world distance on every journey.

What battery and range does the Torres EVX have?
Auto Express reports a 73.4 kWh BYD battery and a range of up to 287 miles for the Torres EVX. It also reports battery coverage of up to 10 years or one million kilometres (just over 620,000 miles). These are reported figures; check the current KGM UK model information and the warranty terms for the specific vehicle before relying on them.
Is the £35,495 price the same as dealer promotions?
No. The £35,495 figure is Auto Express’s reported grant-adjusted new-car starting price. A separate retailer promotion advertised selected ex-demonstrator Torres EVX vehicles from £30,995, with savings of up to £6,300, for 1 October to 31 December 2026, subject to stock and dealer terms. That is a time-limited demonstrator offer, not the general new-car starting price; confirm availability and conditions directly with the retailer.
