The ARCH KRGT-1 is Keanu Reeves and builder Gard Hollinger’s low-volume, build-to-order performance cruiser: a roughly 2.0-liter American V-twin wrapped in hand-fabricated billet, carbon-fiber and owner-specific components. It began as Reeves’ commissioned custom motorcycle and became ARCH Motorcycle’s first production model, but its current 2026 price, order status and delivery schedule are not publicly verified.
What is the ARCH KRGT-1?
Reeves approached Los Angeles builder Gard Hollinger to create a personal motorcycle. The resulting prototype led the pair to establish ARCH Motorcycle in 2011, according to the Los Angeles Times. The KRGT-1 was the company’s first production model, reaching the market by late 2014 or 2015 depending on the publication’s dating.

ARCH describes the project through Reeves’ phrase “Connecting the art and the ride.” That philosophy shows up in the KRGT-1’s combination of a large American V-twin, extensive machined parts and a customer-involved fitting and finishing process. The figures below come from launch-era specifications and a 2020 Road & Track road test. Weight is quoted as dry weight, so it should not be compared directly with a motorcycle’s wet or curb weight.

ARCH’s published material emphasizes the engine size, chassis hardware and fit rather than a headline horsepower figure. No verified horsepower or torque number is established here, so those figures should not be treated as official KRGT-1 specifications.
How ARCH builds and customizes the motorcycle
Owner-specific fit
ARCH can tailor the seat, foot-control position and hand-control position to the customer. Paint selection is broad, and Powersports Business reported that no two motorcycles are alike. The result is a cruiser configured for one rider’s reach and posture rather than a single factory ergonomic compromise.
Hand-fabricated and machined parts
The Los Angeles Times reported that more than 200 components are designed or fabricated by ARCH’s Hawthorne, California, team. The split billet-aluminum fuel tank incorporates the company’s downdraft system. Each seat is custom-fit, while the billet-aluminum key is delivered in a presentation case with a book documenting the motorcycle’s build.

Updates to the later KRGT-1
Road & Track reported roughly 150 changes in the updated KRGT-1, including about 20 major revisions. Its redesigned billet swingarm required approximately 18 hours of millwork for each example. Those labor-intensive parts help explain why the KRGT-1 is assembled as a small, bespoke product instead of on a conventional high-volume line.
How much did the KRGT-1 cost?
Historical prices are the only figures established in the available reporting and should not be read as current 2026 quotations:
- Women Riders Now reported a $78,000 launch price in 2014, with a $12,000 deposit and an approximately 90-day delivery schedule.
- The Los Angeles Times reported in 2020 that the updated KRGT-1 started at $85,000.
ARCH’s current manufacturer price, deposit requirement, available specification, order status and lead time have not been verified for 2026. A prospective buyer should request a written quotation directly from ARCH and confirm what is included in the base build versus owner-selected options, paint and ergonomic work.

Why is the KRGT-1 so expensive?
- Low-volume production: The company does not spread development and tooling costs across a mass-market run.
- Machining and fabrication: More than 200 parts are designed or made in-house, and major billet pieces can require many hours of CNC work.
- Individual fitting: Seats, controls and paint are selected for each customer, adding design and setup time.
- Premium hardware: Carbon wheels, adjustable Öhlins suspension, large brakes and an S&S 124-cubic-inch engine are expensive components before assembly begins.
- Delivered object, not just a powertrain: The presentation key, build-story book and detailed finish are part of the ownership experience ARCH is selling.
The price therefore reflects labor, materials, engineering and exclusivity as much as engine displacement. It is not directly comparable with a standard-production cruiser that uses shared parts and a fixed configuration.
How many KRGT-1 motorcycles were made?
Powersports Business reported in December 2023 that ARCH had sold about 85 motorcycles. That is a reported sales figure at that date, not a guaranteed lifetime production limit or an exact count of KRGT-1 units. ARCH has not established a verified 2026 total or a public numbered-production ceiling in the information available here.

Road & Track found the large cruiser more capable in corners than its size and styling suggest. The S&S V-twin was described as smooth and steady, while the chassis could make quick transitions when ridden with intent.

The forward controls are central to its character. They provide useful clearance at lean, but they also require more deliberate rider input in tight bends. The motorcycle rewards a relaxed pace and flowing roads; it is not designed to feel like a compact sport bike.
Can you buy a Keanu Reeves ARCH motorcycle?
ARCH motorcycles are built to order rather than stocked like ordinary dealership models. A buyer would need to contact ARCH, discuss fit and specification, approve the design and confirm the company’s current production slot, price and delivery terms. What makes the KRGT-1 different from an ordinary premium cruiser?

The KRGT-1 is engineered as a rideable production motorcycle, yet its fit, finish and component choices are developed with the individual owner. That combination, plus ARCH’s very small sales volume, is why the model occupies a niche between a commissioned custom and a conventional luxury motorcycle.
