These are manufacturer-published peak-power figures, not independent dynamometer measurements. European PS figures are kept separate from U.S. mechanical-horsepower figures; the units and market specifications should not be treated as interchangeable.

How to read the figures
PS and hp are different units
PS is metric horsepower; hp here refers to U.S. mechanical horsepower. Kawasaki’s U.S. 2025 specifications list the Z H2 SE at 197.0 hp at 10,500 rpm, the Z900 ABS at 123.0 hp at 9,500 rpm, and the Z650 at 67.0 hp at 8,000 rpm. Those are separate U.S. model-year specifications, not replacements for or direct restatements of the European figures. Peak output is only one comparison
The rpm alongside each figure is where the manufacturer says peak power occurs. Peak power alone does not establish acceleration, top speed, everyday flexibility, or measured rear-wheel output. A fuller comparison would also need market and model year, torque and its peak rpm, any restricted or learner-license version, and curb weight on a consistent basis before calculating power-to-weight.

Why this is a verified subset, not every Z naked bike
Kawasaki’s 2026 European announcement names a wider Z lineup: the Z500, Z650, Z900 family—including 70 kW and SE versions—and the Z H2 / Z H2 SE. It also describes the H2 models as 200 PS machines. That broader lineup context does not provide a complete worldwide or historical catalog, nor does it establish every model’s peak output. See Kawasaki’s 2026 Z-model announcement.
Consequently, the ranking is limited to the four models with comparable European peak-power figures identified above. European pages may not state a model year in their title, while the U.S. figures cited are specifically for 2025; Kawasaki specifications and equipment can vary by market and change over time.
