Both the Jetour T1 and T2 have five-star ASEAN NCAP results for the 2025 model-year vehicles that were assessed, but that star rating does not prove that every T1 or T2 sold in every country has the same equipment. The T1 scored 87.67 points and the T2 scored 86.50 under ASEAN NCAP’s 2021–2025 protocol. Before you rely on any advertised safety feature, match the exact country, model year, trim, powertrain and VIN-specific build sheet to the tested vehicle.
The most important buying question is therefore not simply “Does the Jetour have a five-star rating?” Ask which vehicle was tested, which safety systems were standard on that assessed variant, and whether the car in front of you has the optional driver-assistance hardware and software enabled.

What the Jetour T1 and T2 ASEAN NCAP results actually cover
ASEAN NCAP announced a five-star result for each model in January 2026. Both assessments used the organisation’s 2021–2025 protocol and concern the ASEAN-market variants submitted for testing. They are not a universal certification for every market, trim or production batch.

|---|---|---|---|---|
| Jetour T1 | 26 January 2026 | 87.67 points (the result page displays 87.66 when rounded) | Adult occupant protection 38.09; child occupant protection 16.18; safety assist 17.14; motorcyclist safety 16.25 | ASEAN NCAP announcement and assessment details |
| Jetour T2 | 9 January 2026 | 86.50 points | Adult occupant protection 37.17; child occupant protection 15.94; safety assist 17.14; motorcyclist safety 16.25 | ASEAN NCAP announcement and assessment details |
The scores are evidence about crash performance and equipment under that specific programme. They do not establish real-world crash outcomes, and they do not substitute for checking the specification of the vehicle being sold in your country.

Which safety equipment was standard on the assessed variants?
The ASEAN NCAP reports distinguish standard equipment from optional driver assistance. On the assessed ASEAN variants, the reports list the following as standard:
- Six airbags
- Anti-lock braking (ABS) and electronic stability control (ESC)
- Seatbelt reminders
- Rear-seat occupant detection
- Blind-spot detection on both sides
- Pedestrian protection provisions
- Child-presence detection
- ISOFIX child-seat anchor points
That list describes the vehicles and specifications submitted for those tests. A local importer may sell a different trim, a different powertrain or a later model year. Ask to see the local homologation or equipment record rather than assuming that a feature listed in an ASEAN NCAP report is fitted to every car carrying the same model name.
Why a five-star result does not mean every ADAS feature is standard
Active safety systems are assessed separately from the vehicle’s basic restraint and stability equipment. In the T1 and T2 reports, automatic emergency braking (AEB) for city, inter-urban and pedestrian scenarios, forward-collision warning (FCW), lane-departure warning (LDW) and lane-keep assist (LKA) are among the technologies identified as optional. A five-star result can therefore coexist with a trim that does not include one or more of those functions.

Names also do not guarantee identical behaviour. Two cars may both be advertised with AEB or lane keeping while using different sensors, operating-speed ranges, warnings, intervention strength and availability conditions. Have the seller demonstrate the menus, warning messages and temporary-unavailable conditions in the exact car you intend to buy.
What Jetour’s global specification pages show
Jetour itself warns buyers not to treat a global web table as a local promise. The T1 specification page says: Global website information is subject to regional variations, please confirm specifications with your local dealer.
The T2 page likewise qualifies its equipment by model or region. Use these tables to identify questions, then verify the answer against the local build sheet.
T1 petrol configurations
The global T1 petrol table lists four configurations: 1.5TD with a 7DCT in Comfort and Lux versions, and 2.0T with an 8AT in Comfort and Lux versions.
Rank #3
- Scale: 1: 24.
- Length 179 mm.
| Global T1 configuration | What the table establishes | What remains to verify locally |
|---|---|---|
| 1.5TD + 7DCT Comfort | Configuration is listed; exact ADAS fitment is not stated here. | Whether BSD, LDW, LKA, FCW, AEB, adaptive cruise or traffic-jam assistance is installed on the local car. |
| 1.5TD + 7DCT Lux | Configuration is listed; exact ADAS fitment is not stated here. | Trim equipment, sensor hardware and software activation for the local market. |
| 2.0T + 8AT Comfort | Configuration is listed; some blind-spot and warning equipment appears on additional configurations in the global table. | Which warnings and interventions are fitted to this exact Comfort vehicle. |
| 2.0T + 8AT Lux | LDW, LKA, FCW, AEB, adaptive cruise control and traffic-jam assistance appear in the global table for this configuration. | Whether the local 2.0T 8AT Lux has the same package, calibration and operating limits. |
This is a listing of the global table, not proof of availability in a particular country. The current Jetour T1 specification page is the reference to show a dealer when asking for the local equivalent.

T2 assistance equipment
The global T2 specification table lists blind-spot detection (BSD), LDW, LKA, AEB, FCW, rear-collision warning (RCW) and door-open warning (DOW). Fitment varies among the configurations shown, and the available material does not establish one universal trim-to-feature mapping.
Request a written answer for each item on the vehicle’s quotation or VIN record. Do not infer that a higher trim has every system, or that a lower trim lacks all of them, without checking the local table. The Jetour T2 specification page is useful for identifying the abbreviations you need to clarify.

- Brand new box. Real rubber tires. Steerable wheels. Has opening doors. Detailed interior, exterior. Officially licensed product. Made of diecast with some plastic parts. Manufacturer's original unopened packaging. Dimensions approximately L-7.5, W-3.25, H-2 inches.
What each driver-assistance function does—and what to ask about it
Automatic emergency braking and forward-collision warning
FCW warns when the system detects a possible frontal collision. AEB can apply the brakes if the system determines that a collision is imminent. Ask whether the local car includes city, inter-urban and pedestrian AEB functions or only one of them, which forward sensors they use, the operating-speed range, and how the system signals a fault or temporary unavailability.
Lane-departure warning and lane-keep assist
LDW alerts when the vehicle appears to leave a lane. LKA can add steering input. Confirm whether the system requires visible lane markings, how it behaves on narrow or curved roads, whether the driver can adjust sensitivity, and what happens when the driver’s hands are not detected. These systems support an attentive driver; they are not a replacement for steering control.

Blind-spot detection, rear-collision warning and door-open warning
BSD monitors areas beside or just behind the vehicle and normally warns of a vehicle in a blind spot. RCW is intended to warn of a possible rear impact, while DOW can warn about opening a door into approaching traffic. Ask whether each function is present on both sides, whether it operates when reversing, and whether a trailer, heavy rain, dirty sensors or a blocked camera can disable it.

- Fits Model:The key fob cover fit for Jetour Freedom Traveller 2025 2026 Shanhai T1 T2.(The vehicle model is for reference only. The most important thing is that the appearance of the car key should be consistent before purchase. Please check if the key appearance is consistent before purchase.)
- Material: Fit for jetour Traveller 2025 key case is made of high quality cowhide (nickname crazy horse leather). If you gently press the epidermis, a discoloration effect occurs. It is mainly the first layer of cowhide embryo, which belongs to high quality leather. Mainly popular in Japan, European and American markets.
- Special features: Fit for jetour Shanhai T1 key shell.Scratching the leather surface with nails leaves obvious scratches, but after repeated wiping, the scratches disappear. The crazy horse leather has a messy and disorganized surface and a strong leather feel.Because the material is genuine leather, it cannot be completely perfect. If you have perfectionist requirements for cowhide leather, please purchase carefully after considering.
- Some tips when using: Fit for jetour Shanhai T2 key holder.Crazy horse skins are prone to scratches, so try to avoid scratching with hard objects, nails, etc. Avoid oil stains.Try to avoid getting wet as much as possible. The more you use the horse skin, the fuller and brighter it will be. In the later stage, it will create a retro feeling of coating, and the more you use it, the more beautiful it will be.
- Package List: It includes a key fob cover and a keyring are placed in a small iron box with the "KUNIO" logo. (Not include car key.)It is a good choice for birthday gifts, Christmas gifts and New Year gifts for car owners.
Adaptive cruise control and traffic-jam assistance
Adaptive cruise control can maintain a set gap from traffic. Traffic-jam assistance may combine speed control and steering support at low speeds. On the global T1 table, both appear with the 2.0T 8AT Lux configuration; that does not establish local availability. Ask for the activation conditions, minimum and maximum speeds, restart behaviour after a stop, driver-monitoring requirements and the exact point at which control returns to the driver.

- Identify the vehicle precisely. Record the country of sale, model year, trim, powertrain, transmission and VIN or build number. A model name alone is not enough.
- Obtain the equipment record. Ask for the official build sheet or VIN-specific record listing airbags, ABS, ESC, BSD, AEB, FCW, LDW, LKA, adaptive cruise, RCW, DOW and traffic-jam assistance.
- Separate standard from optional. Have the seller mark each feature as standard, factory option, dealer-installed or unavailable. An option shown in an ASEAN NCAP table may not be included in the quoted price.
- Match the test vehicle. Ask which ASEAN NCAP result applies and how the tested variant compares with the car being sold. Check the model year and market, not just the five-star logo.
- Demonstrate the systems. With the vehicle stationary, inspect the driver-assistance menu, dashboard icons, sensitivity settings and disable switches. Ask the salesperson to explain warnings, interventions and temporary-unavailable messages.
- Check sensor condition and location. Locate cameras, radar units and blind-spot sensors. Confirm that accessories, paint protection, number-plate frames or tow equipment will not obstruct them, and ask how calibration is handled after a windscreen or bumper repair.
- Document the answer. Put the confirmed equipment and any promised option in the sales paperwork. Verbal assurances are difficult to resolve after delivery.
How to compare a T1 and T2, or two trims, without being misled
| Comparison question | Evidence to collect | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Crash-test scope | Testing body, protocol years, model year, market and assessed variant | Prevents a result for one ASEAN-market vehicle being presented as universal. |
| Passive and basic active safety | Airbag count, ABS, ESC, seatbelt reminders, occupant detection, ISOFIX and pedestrian-protection equipment | Shows what protects occupants even when optional assistance is absent or switched off. |
| Driver-assistance fitment | Written confirmation of BSD, AEB, FCW, LDW, LKA, ACC, RCW, DOW and traffic-jam assistance | Reveals whether the advertised package is actually installed on that trim. |
| System limits | Operating speeds, sensor types, road and weather limitations, driver-monitoring rules and fault messages | Feature names alone do not describe intervention quality or availability. |
| Vehicle identity | Country, model year, trim, engine, transmission and VIN/build sheet | Ensures you are comparing like with like. |
| Child-seat compatibility | ISOFIX anchor locations, top-tether points where applicable and confirmation that your specific seat fits | Anchors being present does not prove compatibility with every child seat or seating position. |
ISOFIX and child-seat checks
The assessed ASEAN variants list ISOFIX as standard, but you still need to verify the physical arrangement in the local vehicle. Bring the child seat you intend to use, or obtain its approved vehicle-fit list, and inspect the lower anchors and any top-tether points in the actual seating position.
- Ask the dealer to identify every ISOFIX position and top-tether anchor.
- Check whether the centre seat, third row or a particular trim has different anchor coverage.
- Confirm that the child seat’s support leg, base width and recline do not interfere with the front seat or console.
- Follow the seat maker’s instructions and your country’s child-restraint rules; ISOFIX does not remove the need for correct installation.
- Have the dealer demonstrate installation without claiming that a generic ISOFIX label guarantees fit.
Warning signs in a sales conversation
- A salesperson quotes “five-star safety” without naming ASEAN NCAP, the 2021–2025 protocol, the 2025 model year or the tested market.
- An advertisement lists AEB, LKA or adaptive cruise but the vehicle’s build sheet does not identify the feature.
- The seller relies on the global website while declining to provide a local trim specification.
- A feature is described as autonomous driving rather than as a driver aid with stated operating limits.
- The demonstration skips warning menus, sensor locations, system faults or conditions in which assistance becomes unavailable.
- The quotation does not state whether an advertised system is standard equipment, an option or unavailable.
Use the published T1 and T2 results as a starting point, then verify the specific car. That approach preserves the value of the five-star assessments without confusing a regional crash-test result with a promise that every Jetour T1 or T2 has the same driver-assistance package.
