What Jeep has confirmed for the Wrangler
On February 12, 2026, Jeep announced the 2026 Wrangler Willys 392, giving the Wrangler a current, official HEMI V8 offering. The announcement says Jeep is expanding V8 availability across the Wrangler lineup; that does not mean every Wrangler trim has a V8. Jeep’s announcement quotes Broderdorf saying, “Our community has been clear, they want a Wrangler that returns to a more classic, back-to-basics formula, paired with the unmistakable power of a V8.”

In July 2025, Car and Driver reported Broderdorf saying, “Wrangler and Gladiator fans, and Hemi fans in general, don’t worry.” The publication presented the remark as a strong hint about a Gladiator V8, but it does not establish that Jeep has announced a Gladiator 392 for production. Car and Driver’s report predates Jeep’s 2026 Wrangler Willys 392 announcement.

Until Jeep publishes a production announcement, a V8 Gladiator remains a possibility rather than a confirmed model. A meaningful update would establish whether it is actually entering production and specify the engine, output, price, equipment, and timing. None of those Gladiator details is established by Broderdorf’s reported hint. Jeep’s Wrangler and Gladiator lineup pages provide general model information, not confirmation of a Gladiator 392.
