The JAS Tensei is a limited-production road car built around the first-generation Honda NSX, with a new Pininfarina-designed exterior and interior. JAS Motorsport calls it an ultra-modern reinterpretation of the NSX; its August 2026 images were described by the company as showing the car’s final-production appearance. The public debut was scheduled for the Paris Motor Show, 12–18 October 2026, so it had not yet taken place as of 8 October 2026.
What is the JAS Tensei?
JAS Motorsport, the Italian motorsport engineering company, named the car Tensei on 2 December 2025. The Japanese word means “rebirth,” a fitting label for a project that reworks the first-generation NSX rather than presenting an unrelated new supercar. JAS says the car draws on the original NSX’s character while reinterpreting it for the modern era, with Pininfarina responsible for its exterior and interior design. JAS Motorsport’s announcement
JAS’s 10 August 2026 update describes the Tensei as using an all-carbon-fibre body on the 1990s NSX platform. The company says the images released with that update show final-production appearance. How does it differ from the original NSX?
The Tensei takes the NSX as its foundation, but it is not simply an original car with a cosmetic body kit. JAS’s description points to an extensive redesign, led by Pininfarina’s bespoke exterior and cabin. Quattroruote reported that the donor retains its aluminium chassis, windscreen and side windows, while the other components are bespoke. The connection to the first-generation NSX is more than a styling reference: the reported use of its platform and retained structural components gives the project a direct relationship to the original car. What engine and performance figures have been reported?
Quattroruote reported a naturally aspirated 3.5-litre V6 revised by Judd Motorsport, producing 425 CV and 350 Nm, with an 8,500-rpm limiter. The publication also reported a bespoke six-speed manual gearbox and limited-slip differential. These are reported specifications, not independent test results; no acceleration time, top speed or road-test finding is established here.

When will the Tensei debut?
JAS scheduled the public debut for the Paris Motor Show, running from 12 to 18 October 2026 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. The company said Unit 001 would appear in the Ultimate Supercar Garage. How many will be made, and where can buyers enquire?
JAS announced a limited production run of 35 cars. It named Graham Rahal Performance as its sales and customer-service partner in the United States, and Pfaff Reserve for Canada. These are the partners announced for those markets; prospective buyers should confirm current availability and arrangements directly. JAS Motorsport’s North American partner announcement

What is the reported price?
Quattroruote reported a price of €880,000, excluding the donor NSX and options. This is a figure in a dated secondary report, not a confirmed current price or a guarantee that cars remain available.
