Jaguar unveiled Type 00 as a design-vision concept at Miami Art Week on 3 December 2024. The 478-mile figure was not a range result for Type 00: it was Jaguar’s WLTP target for a planned future electric four-door GT. Jaguar also announced a target of up to 430 miles on the EPA cycle, with final range subject to testing.
What Jaguar unveiled
Jaguar described Type 00 (pronounced “Type Zero Zero”) as the first physical expression of its “Exuberant Modernism” creative philosophy and a design vision for future Jaguars. In the name, Jaguar said one zero refers to zero tailpipe emissions and the other marks the concept as “car zero” in a new lineage. The concept was not presented as a production-car specification sheet.
Its announced exterior features included a long bonnet, sweeping roofline, fastback profile, boat-tail, 23-inch alloy wheels, flush surfaces, a glassless rear tailgate and a panoramic roof with glazing harmonized to the body color. Jaguar showed two versions: Miami Pink, called Satin Rhodon Rose in the launch release, and London Blue, called Inception Silver Blue.
The cabin concept featured butterfly doors, a pantograph tailgate, brass detailing, travertine, textiles, a wool blend and deployable screens. These are concept details; the announcement did not establish them as equipment for a production model.

Whose range is 478 miles?
The figure belongs to Jaguar’s planned electric four-door GT, identified in the launch announcement as its first new-generation production Jaguar. Jaguar gave that vehicle a target of up to 770 km (478 miles) under WLTP and up to 430 miles (692 km) under EPA. These are manufacturer targets for different test cycles, not independent test results and not Type 00 range figures. Jaguar said official range would be subject to final testing on the production model.

The WLTP and EPA values are not directly interchangeable: they are figures tied to different test cycles. Neither should be read as a verified real-world range or as a specification for the Type 00 show car.

What the announcement does—and does not—establish
Jaguar said the future GT was planned to be revealed in late 2025 and built in the UK. That was a plan announced in 2024, not confirmation that the reveal subsequently took place. The launch materials establish the concept’s design direction and Jaguar’s targets for the planned GT; they do not establish later production status, final specifications, price or current orderability.
