A used Jaguar XF may be an appealing way into a premium sedan at a substantial discount from its original price, but depreciation alone does not make every example a good buy. Kelley Blue Book estimates that a 2024 XF lost about 42% of its value over three years; that is a valuation estimate, not a guaranteed resale result. The right decision depends on the specific car’s price, condition, mileage, records and the service support available where you live.
How much does a Jaguar XF depreciate?
Kelley Blue Book’s estimate for the 2024 Jaguar XF is about 42% depreciation over three years. KBB displays an estimated resale value of $29,500 and trade-in value of $27,300. These are estimates, not offers: KBB says its depreciation figure is not a guarantee of actual depreciation, and actual values are affected by condition, mileage, location and market factors. Edmunds shows a different estimated trade-in range for the 2024 XF: $26,622–$37,634 across the trims and condition levels listed on its page. Edmunds says those estimates assume 12,000 miles per year and no options selected; location, mileage, options, trim and condition affect the result. Because the two sites use different valuation pages and assumptions, their figures should not be combined into one exact market price. Is a used Jaguar XF worth buying?
It can be, if a particular car is priced appropriately for its year, trim, mileage and condition and you are comfortable with the support available in your market. The depreciation estimates show why the XF may be worth considering as a used luxury sedan; they do not establish that it is the best choice for every buyer.

The available figures do not provide a comparative reliability ranking, repair-cost study or rival-sedan residual-value comparison. Avoid treating the discount as proof of low ownership costs or using it alone to rank the XF against alternatives. For a fair comparison, line up vehicles of similar model year, trim and drivetrain, then compare mileage, condition, service records, local asking prices and available warranty or service support.
Is Jaguar still selling the XF?
Jaguar’s UK XF page says that new sales of its current-generation vehicles have ended and that services and maintenance remain accessible for owners. That is a statement about Jaguar’s UK market; it does not establish new-car availability or inventory in every country. Confirm the situation with a Jaguar retailer in your area. For performance context, Jaguar’s US XF page lists up to 296 hp, 0–60 mph in 5.8 seconds and a 155 mph top speed. The page identifies the displayed vehicle as European, so those headline specifications should not be assumed to apply to every model year, trim or market.
