The Jaecoo J5 SHS HEV launched in Pakistan on January 19, 2026, in Comfort and Premium trims. Its introductory prices have expired: a report says revised ex-factory prices took effect October 1, 2026, at PKR 6,999,000 for Comfort and PKR 7,999,000 for Premium. The manufacturer lists 221 hp, 295 Nm and 5.3 L/100 km WLTP combined consumption; these are published specifications, not independently verified Pakistani road-test results.
Launch and current reported prices
Nishat Group’s Omoda & Jaecoo announced the Jaecoo J5 SHS HEV in Pakistan on January 19, 2026. The launch announcement described Pakistan as the first global market to introduce the J5 in HEV form. It offered Comfort and Premium trims with introductory ex-factory prices of Rs6,699,000 and Rs7,699,000, valid through March 10, 2026. Dawn.com carried the announcement as a Nishat Group advertorial.
A September 15, 2026 report says prices effective October 1, 2026, were revised as follows:

These revised figures come from Pakistan Connect’s September 15, 2026 report, not a live price list. Confirm the current price, taxes, freight and transit insurance, booking status, and delivery terms with an authorized dealer before paying. The launch-era specification sheet says freight and transit insurance are separate charges and that prices may change without notice; its older list prices should not be treated as current. It also describes a 20% minimum advance payment for booking confirmation and balance payment at least one month before delivery, but buyers should verify the present booking terms. The Pakistan-market specification sheet is the source for those terms.

These are manufacturer-published specifications. The 5.3 L/100 km figure is specifically a WLTP combined result, not a promise of consumption in Pakistani traffic or road conditions. Likewise, the 950+ km range is a manufacturer claim, not an independently measured local range. Available sources do not establish independent Pakistani fuel-economy testing, road-test performance or long-term reliability.

The manufacturer describes the powertrain this way: “The Jaecoo J5 SHS HEV is powered by a fifth-generation 1.5TGDI DHE (Dedicated Hybrid Engine) paired with an intelligent electric motor.” The model page does not attribute that wording to a named individual.
Comfort or Premium: what changes?
The two trims share the basic hybrid model identity, but the Pakistan-market launch specification sheet documents significant equipment differences. Equipment can change, so check the current trim sheet and vehicle specification with the dealer rather than assuming every item remains unchanged.
