Is F1 2026 a new game or DLC?
It is an expansion, not a separate annual game. EA’s November 2025 announcement described 2026 content for F1 25 and said the next full game was planned for 2027: EA’s franchise announcement. Treat 2027 as EA’s announced plan, not a guarantee of a future release schedule.

When did the 2026 Season Pack release?
Electronic Arts announced a worldwide release date of June 3, 2026, for the Pack and Season Edition. EA’s store page lists June 2, 2026, at 11 PM UTC; that can appear as June 3 according to a store’s local date. Check the listing for your region: EA’s product page.

What does the 2026 content add?
The update brings the 2026 season into F1 25, including revised cars and sporting regulations, a refreshed grid with Audi and Cadillac, and updated driver line-ups. It also adds the virtual MADRING circuit in Madrid. EA says MADRING can be driven only with 2026 cars.

New rules and racing features
EA highlights active aerodynamics and Overtake Mode among the 2026 regulation changes represented in the game. EA described Overtake Mode as providing a power boost of nearly 500 horsepower; that is EA’s product description, not an independent measurement. Formula One’s launch report also notes improved assist options for controller and wheel players. A racing wheel is an option, not a stated requirement.
Car models and post-launch updates
EA said some final car models were due in a post-launch update requiring an internet connection. The cited announcements do not establish which models have since arrived, so check the latest game update information if a particular model matters to you.

Which modes include the 2026 season?
EA lists Driver Career, My Team, Grand Prix, Time Trial, split-screen, and unranked multiplayer. The 2026 season also includes a new-save requirement for the two career-focused modes.
Career and My Team saves do not carry over
To use 2026 content in Driver Career or My Team, start a new save. Career saves and custom teams from 2025 do not transfer. Konnersport and APXGP teams cannot be added to 2026 Driver Career or My Team. These restrictions are detailed in EA’s mode and feature overview.

- If you own F1 25, the Season Pack is the route to the 2026 season; it is not a standalone game.
- If you are new to F1 25, the Season Edition bundles the game and season content.
