That figure is a maximum discount set by the scheme, not a cheque sent to every owner and not an unconditional promise that every order will show exactly the same net price. The dealer must be participating and the vehicle and order must be handled under the current grant rules. Ask for the applicable amount on your written quotation before you sign.

A maximum is not an individual entitlement paid after the sale
The published Band 2 amount is the ceiling for that band. The guidance does not establish that every historical transaction receives the maximum or that an omitted discount can automatically be claimed later. Treat the figure as part of the negotiated, documented purchase price.
Model listing does not answer every order question
The public list names the model, while your transaction also has an order date, seller, specification and contractual price. The available evidence confirms current Torres EVX model eligibility; it does not establish that every past order qualifies retroactively or that every possible configuration produces an identical invoice.

Calling the discount a cash rebate
The current mechanism is a seller-applied purchase-price discount. Describing it as money paid directly to the buyer can lead to the wrong expectation about timing and paperwork.
Assuming an old order is covered automatically
The current listing supports present model eligibility. It does not, by itself, decide whether a completed or historic order can be reopened. Ask the dealer to assess the actual order under the rules and list in force for that transaction.
Ignoring the RRP definition
