Its current US specifications list the 2026 Low Rider S and Low Rider ST with the Milwaukee-Eight 117 High Output engine, rated at 114 hp and 128 ft-lb of torque. Harley-Davidson has announced Low Rider power changes in the past, but that history is not evidence of another imminent upgrade.
What Harley-Davidson currently lists for the Low Rider
Harley-Davidson’s US product pages give the 2026 Low Rider S and Low Rider ST the same published engine and output figures. The pages do not indicate that one variant is more powerful than the other.

These are the figures Harley-Davidson publishes for its US-market 2026 models; they do not establish specifications for a later model year or for every market.
Why the claim may sound familiar
Harley-Davidson’s January 26, 2022 announcement introduced the Low Rider ST and described the Low Rider S as more powerful. The company said the Milwaukee-Eight 117 powertrain produced five percent more torque than the Milwaukee-Eight 114 in the 2021 Low Rider S. What changed with the High Output engine in 2025
Harley-Davidson’s 2025 Low Rider ST page said the High Output engine improved mid- and top-end performance and increased redline from 5,600 to 5,900 rpm. Those are 2025 model-year details. They do not confirm another powertrain change is on the way. See the 2025 Low Rider ST specifications.

The official pages reviewed establish current 2026 US specifications and earlier model-year changes. They do not confirm a forthcoming model year, a specific Low Rider variant, a new engine, different output figures or release timing. Until Harley-Davidson publishes a dated announcement with those details, “becoming more powerful soon” should be treated as unverified rather than as confirmed news.
