DEEPAL Australia advertises a limited-time A$47,990 driveaway price for new S07 vehicles fitted with 20-inch wheels. Premium paint is excluded. The offer is subject to stock, participating-retailer, buyer, offer-stacking and other conditions, and the final driveaway amount can vary by location. Ask a participating retailer for an itemised written quote that shows registration, stamp duty, delivery, accessories and any options rather than assuming the headline figure is available to every buyer. DEEPAL says the 475 km result comes from the WLTP laboratory procedure and may change substantially with payload, speed, route, driving style, equipment, battery condition, heating or air conditioning and climate. Treat both numbers as useful comparison points, then plan your own route using conservative assumptions.

DEEPAL Australia’s current Capped Price Servicing Program applies to eligible MY2024-onwards vehicles for the first seven years or 140,000 km, whichever comes first. That total is simply the sum of the prices currently displayed by DEEPAL; it is not a forecast of every maintenance expense. Tyres, brake wear, wipers, collision repairs, wheel damage, accessories, charging equipment and faults outside scheduled servicing can add to the bill. Confirm that the specific vehicle is eligible, that the centre is participating and that the prices have not changed before relying on the total.
Why you may see a different service schedule
The January 2025 MY24 S07 Warranty & Service Handbook describes an earlier 7.5-year or 75,000-km program with eight services, ending at 90 months. That is not the same period or interval as the live page’s seven visits through 140,000 km or 84 months. A 2025 independent review also reported a total capped-service figure of A$2,984.43 for the then-described 15,000–75,000-km schedule. It is a dated figure and should not be combined with the current seven-visit table.
Before signing, ask the retailer to identify the schedule attached to the vehicle identification number, the model year, the delivery date and the exact terms that transfer to a second owner. Keep the answer with your purchase documents.

Charging at home and the V2L option
Home charging can make an electric SUV convenient, but the cost and practicality depend on your switchboard, cable route, parking arrangement, electricity tariff and whether an electrician is needed to upgrade supply. The S07 is battery-electric, so investigate installation requirements before delivery rather than assuming a standard household outlet will suit your routine.
DEEPAL lists an optional genuine S07 V2L cable separately. V2L can be useful for powering compatible external equipment, but verify availability, vehicle fitment, operating limits and retailer support for the exact Australian vehicle. Do not assume that a cable supplied for another market or model is safe to use.

The DEEPAL Australia warranty information and the handbook are the controlling documents. Ordinary wear items are excluded, and a battery warranty does not mean the pack will retain its original energy capacity indefinitely. Ask what capacity-related evidence is required, which inspection records must be retained and how a claim is assessed. If a fault occurs outside the authorised network, call the number in the warranty material before authorising repairs; prior approval can determine whether a cost is reimbursable.

Warranty duration also does not measure repair speed, parts availability or resale demand. It limits certain contractual risks, but it cannot turn an unknown service experience into a proven one.
Safety: five stars, with category detail worth reading
ANCAP’s record gives all Australian S07 variants on sale from January 2025 a five-star rating. The rating year is 2024 and the displayed expiry is December 2031. Scores are not identical across categories:

ANCAP’s S07 rating record and its 28 January 2025 announcement describe a full set of autonomous emergency braking and lane-support systems. They also note mixed performance in some advanced AEB pedestrian scenarios and a marginal result for AEB crossing scenarios. A five-star result is therefore a meaningful overall benchmark, not a guarantee of flawless intervention in every crash type.

ANCAP Chief Executive Officer Carla Hoorweg said in the announcement: “We’ve seen a number of new brands enter the local market over the past year and they continue to impress in meeting the high safety standard Australian consumers and fleet buyers expect.” That comment concerns the safety standard and test result; it is not evidence about reliability or ownership costs.
How to judge range and charging for your own use
Use the WLTP number as a comparison baseline
No representative Australian owner-tested range across seasons, highway speeds and driving styles is established here. A buyer who commutes mostly in mild urban conditions may see a different result from one carrying passengers at highway speed in winter or using heating on a long climb. Build a personal buffer around the WLTP figure, identify reliable charging stops and check whether your regular destinations have compatible DC infrastructure.

Check charging reality before purchase
- Ask which onboard AC charging specification and connector are fitted to the exact vehicle.
- Confirm the DC charger power needed to approach the advertised 30–80% time; a lower-output site will take longer.
- Ask how battery pre-conditioning works and whether navigation must be used to trigger it.
- Price home installation, switchboard work and electricity tariffs separately from the vehicle.
- During a test drive, inspect the charge-port location, cable storage and the visibility of battery-state information.
The published consumption figure of 18.6 kWh/100 km can help estimate energy use, but your tariff, charging losses and route determine the household cost. Compare those inputs with your current fuel and servicing bills rather than treating the laboratory consumption as a promise.
