Stellantis also reported that Pacifica U.S. retail sales rose 7% year over year in the second quarter of 2026. Those figures show a strong position and recent growth—not that everybody wants one.
What vehicles does Chrysler currently sell?
Chrysler’s official site currently lists 2027 Pacifica trims, making the Pacifica the brand’s clearly established current U.S. model in the available lineup information. That supports describing Chrysler as focused on a minivan in the U.S.; it does not establish a comprehensive worldwide inventory of every Chrysler-badged vehicle. Lineups can vary by market and model year.
Chrysler’s official site is the place to check the current model-year lineup for your market.
How is the Pacifica selling?
Chrysler said its minivan lineup retained U.S. sales leadership in 2025 and described the Pacifica as America’s best-selling minivan. These are manufacturer claims, not a finding that the Pacifica outsells every vehicle type or is the preferred choice of every minivan shopper. (Chrysler’s February 12, 2026 announcement.)

For a more recent measure, Stellantis reported that Chrysler Pacifica U.S. retail sales were up 7% year over year in Q2 2026. That is a change in retail sales for one quarter, not an annual growth rate or a survey of buyer preferences. (Stellantis Q2 2026 results, published July 30, 2026.)
Chrysler also reported that Stellantis has sold more than 15 million minivans globally since Chrysler introduced the segment more than 40 years ago. That cumulative company figure covers Stellantis minivans, not just Pacificas. Chrysler’s tally of more than 185 Pacifica industry accolades since the model’s 2017 introduction is likewise an awards count, not a measure of owner satisfaction. (Chrysler’s announcement.)

What does the Pacifica offer for family cargo?
Chrysler lists 32.3 cubic feet of cargo volume behind the third row and a maximum of 140.5 cubic feet with the second- and third-row seats stowed or removed. These are manufacturer specifications; the larger figure describes a maximum configuration, not space available with all seats in use.
Stow ’n Go seating and storage is available on 2026 Pacifica Select and Limited trims, according to Chrysler’s 2026 Pacifica FAQ. It is not a feature the company says is available on every trim. Check the equipment list for the specific model year and trim you are considering.

Does sales leadership mean everybody wants a Pacifica?
No. Sales leadership and a year-over-year increase establish that the minivan is selling strongly by the measures Chrysler and Stellantis reported. They do not establish universal demand, explain why individual buyers chose it, or show that it is the best fit for every household. The available sources include no survey measuring whether everyone—or even a defined share of shoppers—wants a Pacifica.
There is a favorable third-party assessment in Chrysler’s 2026 award announcement: Consumer Guide editor Tom Appel said that, while other minivans were worthy of consideration, none matched the Pacifica’s quietness, ride quality, or general premium feel. That is Appel’s attributed editorial judgment, reproduced in the manufacturer’s release, not a new independent head-to-head test. Chrysler CEO Chris Feuell called the award validation of the company’s commitment to families; that is the company’s own perspective.

How should shoppers compare it with other minivans?
The Pacifica competes with alternatives including the Toyota Sienna, Honda Odyssey, and Kia Carnival. To determine which one suits you, compare the same model year and market across the features that affect your use and budget:
- Purchase price and equipment included at each trim level.
- Powertrain and fuel use, using comparable specifications.
- Passenger and cargo flexibility, including which seats fold, stow, or need to be removed.
- Available drivetrain, safety features, warranty, and resale value.
Chrysler’s award announcement says Consumer Guide considers price, features, performance, accommodations, fuel economy, reliability records, and resale value. That provides a useful set of comparison questions, but it is not a current, matched comparison of the Pacifica with competing minivans. The sales and feature information here is specific to the dates and model years cited; check the latest details before buying.
