What is the “Model Y Tesla yacht”?
It is a concept depicted in renderings, not a marine version of Tesla’s Model Y SUV. Recent explainers attribute the design to independent designer Dhruv Prasad and describe the imagery as a proposed futuristic vessel. The name and Tesla-inspired styling do not establish company approval, Tesla components, or a shared automotive platform. MobilesTalk’s September 29, 2026 explainer and GeekChamp’s coverage both treat it as an unverified concept rather than a Tesla product.
Is it a real, working boat?
No public evidence in the sources reviewed establishes a completed vessel, public prototype, or sea trial. Renderings have been associated with proposed solar panels, a turbine, battery storage, and luxury amenities, but those are design ideas—not certified specifications or demonstrated capabilities. No public battery-capacity figures, range tests, energy-balance results, or independent naval-architecture validation were identified. That means the claimed performance has not been publicly demonstrated; it does not prove the concept is physically impossible.
Tesla’s 2017 Form 10-K is historical context about company disclosures at the time, not proof that no private discussion or later idea ever existed. Likewise, Tesla’s 2024 Croatia Yacht Show event page lists Model 3 and Model Y test drives. That is an automotive promotion at a yacht show, not an announcement of a Tesla yacht.

Is the $700 million price real?
No official Tesla price has been established. Later coverage and viral posts repeat a figure near $700 million, including Supercar Blondie’s 2022 account, but the sources reviewed show no Tesla quotation, builder estimate, signed contract, or sales listing supporting that amount. Treat it as an unverified viral price claim, not the yacht’s price.
Can you buy or reserve one?
No verified Tesla product page, reservation route, dealer, delivery schedule, or production slot for this concept was identified. Claims that it is ready to sail, has a launch date, or is entering production should be considered unverified unless supported by a credible primary source.

Be cautious if a page or account asks for a deposit, cryptocurrency, or investment in a supposed Tesla yacht. Concept images and Tesla branding alone do not establish that an offer is legitimate.
