On paper it offers three trims, seven seats, a 328-hp turbocharged engine, available all-wheel drive, and a large standard display. What the manufacturer’s figures cannot tell you is what a local dealer will charge for one particular vehicle, and that number decides whether it is a good deal.
What the 2025 Enclave offers
Buick sold the 2025 Enclave in three trims: Preferred, Sport Touring, and Avenir. Each came in front-wheel drive (FWD) or all-wheel drive (AWD). Buick’s April 9, 2024 launch release lists the following launch prices, which include destination and delivery charges (DFC).

At launch, AWD cost $2,000 more than FWD on every trim, so the drivetrain choice should rest on how you will use the vehicle rather than on a price difference that varies with the market. Moving from Preferred to Avenir added about $13,000 at launch.
Price: three figures that are not the same number
Three price series are in circulation, and they answer different questions. Keep them separate when you compare.

The launch column is a 2024 manufacturer price, not a current asking price. The displayed 2025 column comes from Buick’s 2025 Enclave Build & Price page, which lists starting prices $200 to $300 above the launch figures and warns that some shown features may have limited, late, or no availability. It directs buyers to confirm with a dealer. The 2026 column is from Buick’s 2026 Enclave page and is quoted before destination charges. Those figures are not on the same basis as the 2025 column, so do not subtract one from the other to declare a winner. The drivetrain behind the displayed 2025 and 2026 starting figures is not stated on those pages.
Engine and fuel economy
Buick lists a 2.5-liter turbocharged engine producing 328 hp at 5,500 rpm and 326 lb-ft of torque at 3,500 rpm, paired with an eight-speed automatic. The launch release also publishes EPA-estimated fuel economy by drivetrain:

2025 or 2026?
Buick’s 2026 page says the 2026 Enclave also seats up to seven. That makes the model-year decision a question of equipment and price rather than capacity. Use this framework:
- Choose the 2025 when a written, VIN-specific out-the-door quote for the trim and drivetrain you want is clearly below a comparable 2026 quote with the same equipment.
- Choose the 2026 when the gap is small after you match standard and optional equipment, since a newer model year is simpler to compare on warranty and resale.
- Do not assume either one is better value. The published figures do not establish that a higher trim offers more value, or that a 2025 is preferable to a 2026.
What the sources do and do not show
The figures above come from Buick’s own specifications and price pages. They are useful for equipment and launch context, but they are not independent evaluations. This article does not rely on an official crash-test rating, an independent road test, reliability data, or owner-reported experience for the 2025 Enclave. Driver-assistance equipment is a feature list, not a safety result, so check independent results before treating the vehicle as safe.

Buick’s launch release quotes Duncan Aldred, Buick and GMC global vice president, saying: “With the launch of our Buick Enclave flagship SUV, our ICE portfolio is now complete with a full lineup of completely refreshed or all-new vehicles.” That is corporate positioning, not evidence of quality or value.

- Obtain the window sticker for the exact VIN. Confirm the trim, drivetrain, engine, and each option, including whether Super Cruise is fitted.
- Request a written out-the-door quote from a local Buick dealer for that VIN. It should list the vehicle price, destination charges, taxes, government fees, and any dealer add-ons.
- Compare that quote with the launch and displayed figures only after confirming they are on the same basis.
- Check the model’s crash-test results from NHTSA and IIHS, and any reliability history you can find from independent sources.
- Ask the dealer for the remaining factory warranty, which depends on the vehicle’s in-service date.
- Get an insurance quote for that exact trim and drivetrain, since premiums differ between FWD and AWD and across trims.
The verdict
The 2025 Enclave is worth putting on a family shortlist in 2026. Seven seats, a 328-hp engine, available AWD, and a standard large display match a family luxury brief on paper. Whether it is a smart buy depends on a single written price for a single car, compared against an equivalent 2026 quote and checked against independent safety information. If that price and those checks hold up, the 2025 is a reasonable choice. If they do not, the age of the model year does not make it one.
