Racer X reported on September 25, 2026, that Barcia would leave the Troy Lee Designs Red Bull Ducati Factory Racing Team after the team’s inaugural 2026 season. The report reproduced a statement from the team confirming his departure. It did not announce his next team.

Pipes describes its programs as including Suzuki teams, while Racer X’s rumor specifically names HEP Motorsports Twisted Tea Suzuki. Neither fact establishes that Barcia has signed with that team.
What is known about Barcia’s 2026 season?
According to the Ducati team statement reproduced by Racer X, Barcia was sidelined for much of Supercross after a collision at Anaheim 1 and returned for the final two rounds. The team said he finished inside the top 10 in the final 450MX standings, with a season-best fifth overall at Spring Creek. These are the team’s reported season results.

Barcia said the Los Angeles race the prior weekend was his last with the team, adding that he twisted his ankle in the first moto and was unable to ride that week. Team manager Josh Wisenor said: “Getting back up to race pace after 15 rounds, when the rest of the field had been competing all year, is always a tall order.”

Does Suzuki’s RM-Z450 announcement confirm Barcia’s bike?
No. Suzuki announced on October 2, 2025, that Ken Roczen would ride the RM-Z450 for the 2026 SuperMotocross season. Pipes announced on October 6, 2025, that Jason Anderson would ride a Suzuki RM-Z450 for the 2025 and 2026 World Supercross and 2026 SuperMotocross seasons.
