No—not according to Mazda’s published 2025 paint information. Mazda’s 2025 CX-50 announcement does not list Cypress, while Mazda USA’s current CX-50 page shows Cypress on the 2026 model. Mazda’s 2025 Miata paint announcement also omits Cypress. A later announcement names a different green, Zinc Green, for the MX-5 Miata’s debut in Japan; it does not establish U.S. availability.
Did Mazda offer Cypress on the 2025 CX-50?
Mazda North American Operations’ July 9, 2024 announcement of 2025 CX-50 pricing and packaging lists premium paint options but not Cypress. The evidence therefore does not support saying Mazda added Cypress to the 2025 CX-50. Mazda’s 2025 CX-50 announcement is a dated release; the absence of a color from that list is not proof that it could never appear in a different market or configuration.
Mazda USA’s current CX-50 page displays Cypress and identifies the vehicle as the 2026 CX-50. That page supports associating the color with the 2026 model shown there, not with the 2025 model year. View Mazda USA’s CX-50 page.

Is Cypress Green available on the 2025 Miata?
Mazda North American Operations’ December 5, 2024 announcement for the 2025 MX-5 Miata lists Aero Gray, Snowflake White Pearl, Soul Red Crystal Metallic, and Machine Gray Metallic as premium paint options. Cypress is not on that list. The announcement’s premium-paint prices were $450 for Aero Gray and Snowflake White Pearl, and $595 for Soul Red Crystal Metallic and Machine Gray Metallic. What is Zinc Green, and is it the same as Cypress?
No source cited here establishes Cypress and Zinc Green as the same paint, and the names should not be used interchangeably. Mazda North American Operations announced on May 31, 2026 that Zinc Green debuted on the MX-5 Miata in Japan. Mazda’s cited 2025 Miata announcement does not list Cypress, and the later announcement is about Zinc Green in Japan, not Cypress. These sources do not establish that Mazda plans to offer Cypress on the Miata. They also do not establish a direct visual or paint-formulation comparison between Cypress and Zinc Green.

How to check Mazda paint availability accurately
- Confirm the model year. A current vehicle page may show a newer model than a dated announcement.
- Confirm the market. Mazda’s Zinc Green announcement specifies Japan; it is not evidence of U.S. availability.
- Use the exact paint name. Cypress and Zinc Green are distinct names in the cited sources.
- Note the source type and date. A dated press release and a current model page answer different questions, and announcement prices may not reflect current pricing.
