Its power and top-speed figures vary across secondary reports, so the eye-catching numbers need attribution rather than a single definitive spec sheet.
What is the Top Secret V12 Supra?
The car is a Toyota Supra A80, also known as the Mk IV, associated with Japanese tuner Smokey Nagata and his Top Secret outfit. The unusual feature is its engine swap: the Supra’s original engine was replaced with Toyota’s 1GZ-FE, a 5.0-liter V12 associated with the Toyota Century. CarThrottle describes the swap and twin-turbo setup in its 2024 report; the TopSpeed-attributed wording also appears in a secondary repost, rather than a directly retrieved original article.
What engine and turbochargers does it use?
Reports identify the engine as the Toyota 1GZ-FE V12 and describe it with two HKS GT2835 turbochargers. That combination makes the car more than a routine Supra build: it pairs a large-displacement luxury-car V12 with forced induction in a chassis originally designed around a different engine. The available accounts establish the reported components, but not a complete, independently verified build sheet covering every version of the car.
How much power does the Top Secret Supra make?
There is no single output figure that the available reporting consistently establishes. A TopSpeed-attributed repost says the car makes close to 1,000 horsepower; CarThrottle describes it as producing well over 1,000 bhp. A separate compilation ties a different figure—930 hp and 745 lb-ft—to the car’s reported 2008 Nardò configuration. These claims may concern different configurations or measurement conventions, but the reports do not explain the discrepancy. They should not be collapsed into one precise, verified rating.

| Reported claim | Attribution and context |
|---|---|
| Close to 1,000 horsepower | TopSpeed-attributed text in a secondary repost; original article not directly retrieved. |
| Well over 1,000 bhp | CarThrottle’s September 12, 2024 report. |
| 930 hp and 745 lb-ft | Secondary compilation associates these figures with a reported 2008 Nardò configuration; original publisher not verified. |
How fast is it reported to have gone?
A secondary compilation attributes a speed of 222.6 mph to a 2008 run at the Nardò test venue in Italy. That is a reported venue-specific figure, not a public-road achievement or an independently verified record established by the available material. The compilation also links the 930 hp and 745 lb-ft figures to that Nardò configuration, but the underlying original account was not verified.
What did the car look like?
The same secondary compilation describes a bespoke Top Secret G-Force body kit and gold Rays wheels. Those details are useful identifiers in reporting about the car, but they should be treated as attributed build details rather than a definitive description of its current or only configuration.

Why the V12 swap makes this Supra unusual
The defining contrast is architectural: a Century-associated 5.0-liter V12 occupies the place of the Supra’s original engine, and the reported installation adds a pair of HKS turbos. The result is a distinctive Top Secret project, but the published power claims do not resolve to one dependable number. For a careful description, identify the engine and turbochargers as reported hardware, then give any output or speed figure with its specific source and context.
