Infinite Machine’s Olto pairs angular, retro-futuristic styling with two-person seating and electric-moped performance in Europe. Its classification and advertised figures differ by market: the company presents the US model as a Class 2 e-bike with a stated 28 mph top speed, while its European version is an L1e-B electric moped rated for up to 45 km/h. Those are manufacturer claims, not independent test results.
What is the Infinite Machine Olto?
Olto is a two-person electric vehicle from Infinite Machine. Its sharp, slab-sided bodywork gives it a retro-futuristic look: New Atlas described it as resembling an “80s concept of what bikes might look like in the future.” The long seat, integrated lighting and compact display reinforce the impression of a small urban vehicle rather than a conventional bicycle. New Atlas’s June 2025 launch coverage supplies that design description; it is not a road test.
How to describe Olto depends on where it is sold. Infinite Machine’s US product page calls it a Class 2 e-bike intended for the bike lane. The company describes the European version as an L1e-B electric moped. These are distinct regional product positions, not interchangeable legal classifications. Check local rules for where a particular version may be ridden, whether a licence or registration is required, and whether passengers are permitted.
How fast is Olto, and how far does it go?
The figures vary across the manufacturer’s regional pages. In Europe, Infinite Machine lists a 45 km/h top speed and up to 65 km of range. The company says range depends on speed, conditions and riding style; higher speeds and hills reduce it. These are manufacturer specifications and estimates, not independently measured results. The European product page and European FAQ provide the claims.

The US page advertises 28 mph, but it gives two different range figures: “35 mile range” near the top of the page and “40 mile range” in another section. Infinite Machine does not reconcile that discrepancy there, so neither figure should be treated as a single verified real-world range. Confirm the current specification for the exact US configuration before buying.
Launch-era reporting should not be mixed with those current regional claims. New Atlas reported in June 2025 that Olto had a 750-watt rear hub motor, a 20 mph city setting, a 33 mph off-road setting and approximately 40 miles of claimed range. Those reported launch figures differ from the current European manufacturer specifications; they do not establish tested speed or range.

European specifications and practical features
Infinite Machine’s European page lists a 2 kW motor and removable 48 V, 25 Ah battery, which the manufacturer says is UL2271 certified. The page also specifies two-passenger seating. Pedals can be locked in place as footrests for throttle-mode riding, and the rear passenger has fold-out foot pegs.

The charging figures come from the European FAQ. Infinite Machine says the battery can be charged on the vehicle or when removed; an optional charging dock is also listed. The cited time depends on the charger used.

Equipment listed for the European model includes high- and low-beam headlight modes, a tail light and turn signals, a 10.9 cm LCD display, USB-A and USB-C ports, NFC/app unlocking, an alarm and immobilizer, GPS tracking, and an automatic steering lock. These are manufacturer-listed features; the specifications do not establish independent performance or effectiveness.
Design, carrying and security
Olto’s long seat and two-person layout make passenger capacity a central part of its pitch. The pedals can serve as footrests in throttle mode, while fold-out rear foot pegs give the passenger a place to put their feet. Whether riding with a passenger is lawful depends on the vehicle’s local classification and rules.

Infinite Machine lists a rear basket, kid carrier, rack and accessory plate among its accessories. The company’s FAQ also describes a U-lock attachment point integrated into the kickstand, which it says is compatible with any U-lock. It says the security system includes GPS and cellular tracking, app alerts and a backup battery. Those are the manufacturer’s feature descriptions, not independently evaluated theft-prevention results; no particular lock is stated to be included or endorsed.

As displayed on Infinite Machine’s US product page on October 8, 2026, Olto was priced at $3,495 and marked “Available now.” The European product page said it was available to order, while the European FAQ said it was shipping in Europe and directed prospective buyers to local authorized dealers for delivery estimates. The European product page lists a two-year limited warranty, an in-store service network, repair guides and spare parts through local dealers. The FAQ adds that a preferred local mechanic may handle service and says parts and accessories are available through the web store and partner shops. Warranty coverage, service access and parts availability may differ by country; confirm them with the local seller before purchase.
