The offer behind the “supercar power for $700 a month” headline is a U.S. lease for the 2026 Hyundai IONIQ 5 N AWD: Hyundai lists it at $699 per month for 36 months, with $4,999 due at signing. The advertised payment is not the full cost of getting the car, and the headline’s “supercar” wording is a performance analogy—not a vehicle classification or a verified comparison.
What Hyundai’s $699-per-month offer includes
Hyundai USA’s current offer listing shows a 36-month lease at $699 per month and $4,999 due at signing for the IONIQ 5 N AWD. The official listing also displays up to $3,000 total savings and financing at 1.99% APR for up to 60 months. Those are separate advertised options; the financing figure is not the lease rate. Hyundai labels its pricing nonbinding and directs shoppers to dealers for details. Check Hyundai’s current offers and have a participating dealer confirm the terms for your ZIP code.
The $699 figure is the monthly lease payment, not proof of the total monthly or ownership cost. The $4,999 signing amount is substantial upfront cash; taxes, fees, eligibility, credit approval, dealer participation and local offer terms can affect what a customer actually pays. The official listing does not establish a single all-in cost for every lessee.
Lease terms to verify before signing
An October 5, 2026 article reports a 10,000-mile annual allowance, a lease-end purchase option of $32,006 plus a $300 purchase-option fee, and an offer expiration date of November 2, 2026. These are reported terms, not a substitute for the offer and contract applicable to your location. Ask the dealer to confirm them in writing before relying on them.

How much power does the IONIQ 5 N make?
Hyundai lists the 2026 IONIQ 5 N at 601 hp in standard operation. N Grin Boost raises output to 641 hp for 10 seconds; that temporary peak is not the car’s continuous output. Hyundai also lists an EPA-estimated range of up to 221 miles for the AWD model. These are manufacturer figures, not independent test results. See Hyundai’s 2026 IONIQ 5 N specifications.
Hyundai specifies a 7-hour-20-minute Level II 240V charge from 10% to 100%. Actual range and charging time can vary with conditions and equipment. Hyundai’s performance page says the 2026 IONIQ 5 N is available in limited quantities and at select dealers in select states only, so a national offer listing does not guarantee local availability. Does “supercar power” mean it is a supercar?
No. “Supercar power” is the headline’s characterization of the IONIQ 5 N’s output, not a verified vehicle category. Hyundai’s 601-hp specification supports the horsepower figure; it does not establish a direct comparison with any particular supercar. A meaningful comparison would also need consistent measurements for acceleration, performance conditions, range, charging and price.

The advertised lease may suit a driver who values a set term and can stay within the mileage allowance, but the monthly payment alone cannot show whether it is cheaper than financing or buying used. Compare the alternatives on the same basis before choosing:
