How much does a Hyundai Bayon cost in the UK?
Hyundai UK’s pricing and technical specification PDF, effective 1 October 2026, lists the Bayon Black Line 1.0T 90PS with a six-speed manual at a recommended on-road price of £24,065. The separate UK trims page displays “From £23,795.00” for Black Line and “From £25,295.00” for Tech Line. These are different presentations and should not be treated as interchangeable prices for the same configuration.
Prices and equipment can change, and Hyundai says specifications may vary. Check the current UK trims and prices, the dated technical specification PDF, and the configurator or retailer for the exact model. Any finance offer is separate from a cash price and depends on its stated order window and terms; verify those terms before relying on an offer.
What do Black Line and Tech Line include?
Hyundai UK highlights different equipment for each trim. The precise fit depends on the vehicle configuration, so confirm it against the car being quoted.

What engine and gearbox does the UK Bayon have?
Hyundai UK describes the current Bayon with a 1.0T 90PS petrol engine, paired with either a six-speed manual or seven-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT). That gives buyers a conventional manual option and an automatic-style dual-clutch option.
Specifications differ by market. Hyundai Europe lists a 1.0 T-GDi 100 PS and a 1.2 MPi 79 PS in its European presentation; those are not the UK 90PS specification. For the European 100 PS 1.0 T-GDi, Hyundai publishes WLTP combined figures of 5.7–5.4 l/100 km and 129–122 g/km CO₂ for the manual, and 6.7–6.2 l/100 km and 128–122 g/km CO₂ for the DCT. Autocar’s 20 February 2026 review described the range it reviewed as using an 89bhp 1.0-litre petrol engine with manual or DCT, and noted that the earlier mild-hybrid option had been removed from that reviewed range. Its engine description is specific to its review and date, not a substitute for checking the current UK specification. Autocar’s 2026 review also reports official economy and emissions in its own publication/version context.
Is the Hyundai Bayon roomy?
Hyundai Motor UK quotes a 411-litre boot and an intelligent trunk cover. Its published cabin dimensions are 993 mm front and 977 mm rear headroom, plus 1,072 mm front and 882 mm rear legroom. These manufacturer measurements offer a useful baseline against rivals, but a family should check luggage, child seats and passenger comfort in person.

Hyundai UK says the 10.25-inch centre touchscreen supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The features page also describes a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, Bluelink connected services, live services and over-the-air map updates. USB-C charging ports are described for the front and rear, alongside a front USB-A data port.

What Car?, updated 5 August 2026, calls the Bayon comfortable and well equipped, and praises its generous rear room. It also notes a lower driving position than some small SUVs, a less plush cabin and a lack of flexible seating options. The publication recommends the entry-level Black Line.
Autocar’s 20 February 2026 review characterises the Bayon as a reasonably priced, traditional petrol crossover with a practical boot and broad everyday usability, awarding it 7/10. Should you buy a Hyundai Bayon?
The Bayon is worth shortlisting if your priorities are a straightforward petrol powertrain, useful standard or available equipment, rear-seat room and a practical boot. It may be a weaker fit if you want a high SUV driving perch, a hybrid or electric powertrain, a more premium-feeling cabin, or more adaptable seating.
Compare it with the Ford Puma, Nissan Juke, Renault Captur, Skoda Kamiq and Volkswagen T-Cross using matching model years and UK specifications. Focus on the actual on-road price and trim equipment, engine and gearbox, official efficiency for the relevant market, seating position, ride comfort, rear-seat fit and boot usability. A test drive is particularly valuable if driving position or cabin feel is a deciding factor.
