The 2019 Hublot Classic Fusion Ferrari GT pairs a 45 mm case with the HUB1280 UNICO flyback chronograph and a 72-hour power reserve. It was released in titanium, King Gold and 3D Carbon, in limited quantities. Hublot’s launch specifications make it an unusually technical Classic Fusion, but they are not a substitute for hands-on testing: comfort, legibility, accuracy and current market value are not established here.
What is the Hublot Classic Fusion Ferrari GT?
Introduced in 2019, the Classic Fusion Ferrari GT is a limited-edition chronograph developed as part of Hublot and Ferrari’s collaboration. Hublot’s launch release says Ferrari Centro Stile designed the watch and frames the division of work as Hublot handling the movement and Ferrari the body. That is the brands’ account of the design process, rather than independent verification of authorship.
The release presents the “Gran Turismo” idea as “Driving over long distances at high speed in comfort and with style.” That is brand copy describing the concept, not a tested claim about how the watch wears.
What movement is in the Ferrari GT?
All three editions use Hublot’s HUB1280 UNICO, a self-winding flyback chronograph. Hublot described it as the first UNICO manufacture movement fitted to a Classic Fusion. Its specifications are:
- Column-wheel chronograph, visible through the dial
- 4 Hz frequency, or 28,800 vibrations per hour
- 72-hour stated power reserve
- 354 components and 43 jewels
- 6.75 mm stated movement thickness
- Four patents, according to Hublot
The flyback function allows the chronograph to be reset and restarted in one operation, rather than stopping, resetting and starting it in separate steps. The open dial presentation makes the movement’s mechanics part of the design, while the column wheel is specifically described by Hublot as dial-visible.
Case, dial and strap
The case measures 45 mm across and 13.15 mm thick. Hublot states water resistance of 10 ATM, equivalent to 100 m. That rating is a manufacturer specification, not a recommendation for a particular activity or a guarantee about a watch’s condition years after sale.

The dial uses sapphire crystal, which Hublot describes as anti-reflective coated and edged with red thread. The visible mechanics, red detailing and Prancing Horse emblem at 12 give the watch a more explicitly automotive identity than a conventional minimalist chronograph. The strap is black rubber dressed in Schedoni leather. These are launch descriptions; they do not establish real-world glare, readability or wearing comfort.
Hublot describes the case as a concentric suspended element. Combined with the open dial and Ferrari details, that gives the Ferrari GT a design language intended to evoke a high-performance grand tourer, rather than a car instrument literally transplanted to the wrist.

Hublot’s current Classic Fusion Racing Grey Chronograph Titanium provides family context, but it is a different model and should not be mistaken for the Ferrari GT. The two watches share a 45 mm case diameter; the Ferrari GT has a different movement, longer stated reserve and higher stated water resistance.

Is the Ferrari GT worth seeking out?
On paper, the strongest case for the Ferrari GT is the combination of a distinctive Ferrari-specific design, an open presentation of the HUB1280 and a 72-hour reserve. Its 100 m stated rating also exceeds the 50 m specification of the Racing Grey comparator. The trade-offs are equally clear: it is a large 45 mm chronograph, and the Ferrari branding and limited production are central to its appeal rather than evidence of improved performance over other chronographs.
Whether the premium is justified depends on what matters to the buyer. The HUB1280 specifications may appeal to someone who wants a flyback chronograph and an exposed view of its mechanism; the Ferrari styling and edition scarcity will matter more to a collector drawn to the collaboration. The launch prices do not establish what the watch costs now or how well it retains value.
What to verify before buying a pre-owned example
Because the editions have distinct references and case materials, start by checking that the reference matches the seller’s description: 526.NX.0124.VR for titanium, 526.OX.0124.VR for King Gold and 526.QB.0124.VR for 3D Carbon. For any specific watch, check condition, provenance, completeness, service documentation and the seller’s reputation. These are prudent checks, not claims about any particular listing.
